Please can the actual healing you know... heal faster. It feels like it takes forever.
-
Rift is the slowest of the three class abilities. Honestly we need something else.
-
I just wish it was faster to cast. That's all

3 RepliesI've only ever had one character, a Titan. However, despite having never played with a Warlock I can still tell you you're probably using it wrong. Seems it's similar to the Titan barricade with respect to timing. From what I can tell, both need to be used proactively rather than reactively to consistently get the best use out of them. If the speed of deployment is your issue you're probably using it reactively. Critical thinking is as important as gun skill.

1 ReplyAll these people telling you that you're "using it wrong" when you still die just as quickly with a full overshield as you do if the Rift never existed at all. It stops you from dying to DoTs and basically nothing else and is clearly a PvE ability.
-
9 RepliesWarlocks are overpowered, already.
-
3 RepliesA faster healing rift would be stupid OP. There's guys now, that know how to use TF out a rift, if you give them faster healing, they'd be unstoppable. lol
-
The heals are just fine, what needs to happen is casting the rift should be faster. The animations still play out slow because it was balanced around a slower gameplay back in vanilla D2, the pace of the game is much faster now so both barricade and rift needs to be cast faster. The ability itself is fine, a rift is meant to be activated before a fight starts and a barricade is meant to hold chokes and create space. It would be busted if the rift healed any faster
-
1 ReplyI thought you meant the animation for healing rift. I’ve been killed so many times in the animation of setting up my rift where I probably would have lived if I didn’t. The irony
-
Edited by C1B3D: 10/22/2020 5:42:23 PMDodge over Rift any day. And yes, you are better with 10 Recovery than a Rift. They should change that class ability completely, same for Titans.
-
funny seeing all the people saying rifts are good when they dont even touch the class xD. Ive never backed down from anyone in a rift even if they had it up before hand and i very rarely will die. Idk about faster healing, but a faster animation is a must tbh
-
You'd be better off using empowering rifts in PvP they at the very least buff range a bit but healing rifts are only good as a quick fix to heal while behind cover in PvP and your just asking to get killed putting one down when your getting shot at as it feels like it does next nothing as your taking damage.
-
2 RepliesSo you're saying Fusions need a nerf?
-
You need to use it to force the action in pvp, it sucks when used reactively.
-
If you wasn’t trash you wouldn’t need to heal all the time js get good
-
1 ReplyPro-active!!! not Re-active!! Any Class/Subclass that can heal themselves inside Destiny is already a go to for new players and VERY powerful for any one single class to even wield in the first place. It's why the Warlock is the go to class for any solo run's bar none, nobody can do what a Warlock can in any situation and VERY fire team orientated. So if you have issue's with animation times, yah need to work on yah technique, Eyes up Guardian!
-
The actual rifts alright when it comes to healing in my opinion. Its the time it takes to place the rift. I have died so many times while placing the rift it kinda pisses me off
-
The animation is the big problem,The second problem with it is if you are close to something that is slightly higher than you and you moved towards it and pressed to use your healing rift, it will cancel it out because you were apparently still moving and got bumped by rock or wall with a bent side.

1 ReplyEdited by killa beaver: 10/20/2020 5:09:59 AMWhat it needs is a faster animation. Sh*ts the slowest thing on the planet.

2 RepliesEdited by Casper - 77: 10/20/2020 4:11:56 AMThis reminds me of a time I once cast a rift in PvP. At the same time a Titan turned the corner right in front of me, emoted, then shotgunned me. All before I could finish putting down some heals

5 RepliesEdited by WHISKEYJ0HNNY0: 10/20/2020 3:18:40 AMWarlocks currently wield the largest and most effective bag of tricks in the game. Warlocks also can move around the map in ridiculous speeds. If you PvP then you know what I’m talking about. Warlocks for now are the captains of the OP club. I play and enjoy all three classes probably hunter a little more but I think it’s the Titan that needs the most help...maybe even a total rework. As for your healing rift. It’s all about the right time and place to use it. Definitely not in the open within a fire fight. Place it behind cover with a piece of it outside cover.
-
5 RepliesIt's basically a death trap for the player. Always has been. Warlocks got the D in D2. Can only imagine the bullshit bungie implemented with the new classes.
-
2 RepliesWhen hunters get a faster tether activation, yeah, sure.

61 RepliesEdited by thatdudeEd54: 10/20/2020 3:03:41 AM"Warlocks" (you happy) got a Well, Blessing gernade, devour, and Phoenix Dive. Probably more options with certain exotics. On top of that you got Recovery as the main trait for warlocks. What else do you want immunity from dying?
-
2 RepliesI’m usually dead by the time I finish the casting animation. What’s the point? I’m okay with the rate of healing, I just want the animation to be quicker.

2 RepliesEdited by ira: 10/20/2020 8:50:25 AMThe Warlock healing is fine as it is. It's just people don't know how to use it properly in Crucible. Don't place it in open and it's not a spam ability to pop during mid gunfights to gain a surge of health. If it is placed perfectly it's easy to get lane control and that's what barricade and rifts are used for. And no Dodge is not "better" than rift or Barricade. Dodge is only good if used correctly. Unless you play against people who know what they are doing it's pretty easy to kill a hunter mid dodge and sometimes them using dodge works against them because they are caught in an animation where they can't do anything except take damage. So yeah it cannot be used to negate whatever is thrown their way like a lot of people in the forums say it's just an alternate for rift and barricade and it just gives hunter more mobility because that's what hunters are supposed to be. Well not that it matters that Warlock are still the fastest class being able to cross maps pretty quick via icarus dash which they don't have a need for because it was originally given to titans in D1. But yeah Warlocks get dodge, a healing rift, and a ranged melee that tracks and people still whine about how Warlocks are getting the short end of the stick come on.
