Okay, I've accepted the annoying, and unnecessary stomp mechanic is here to stay. But enemies with NO feet, or those who float should NOT have one! How does a servitor stomp, exactly? Or those tech witches.

1 ReplyHave you heard of the tragedy of the bond brothers... Let's hit them with a sword. Oh noooooo.... We got booped into a wall and died. Oh watch that titan waste his slam on hi... Oh my god he got booped and died.

9 RepliesEdited by blade329: 10/23/2020 3:24:02 PMYou haven't lived until you have been stomped through the portal in Gambit. So much fun when you are unprepared and have no heavy ammo. Woo-hoo!
-
1 ReplyThe meatball in gambit has a boss stomp and it doesn’t even have an animation.
-
MOAR STOMPS! Stomps make D2 great! In fact we need more of them. You've heard of surprise mechanics? We need surprise stomps. We need Zavala to randomly stomp guardians off the tower. You show up at Spider's hideout to buy a couple of enhancement cores... STOMP! "Not today, Guardian." There should be achievements and emblems and maybe even a title for being a recipient of the most surprise stomps.
-
I would like to see a grab animation of you get too close to a boss.
-
Back in my day we had Shield bash. And everybody got shield bashed.
-
They let a huge one rip and the gas shoves you away
-
Actually, the servitors have a unique mechanism of spitting energy down, it checks out 😂 But witches and hydras make no sense!! The intensity of the slam should also be looked at!!
-
4 RepliesBefore swords, we used to Well Shotgun and punch bosses to death. Thats why the stomp mechanic is necessary.
-
At least with this current sword meta you can kind of correct it as soon as you get launched.
-
i once got stomped into a wall while activating my super with full health and it instantly killed me. I think the problem is boss stomp has way too much force and AOE. also if you watch the animation, floating bosses like witches and hydras fire a concussive blast into the ground.
-
Lol they made the new Gorgons have legs so they could excuse that. Bungie is listening!
-
Just going off of face value, they crank up whatever force they use to suspend their bodies in midair.
-
2 RepliesI think there should be more bosses that provide damage fields like normal servitors with their melee/big succ. Perhaps some bosses should have debuffs from being too close to them? Ideas are better than straight complaints
-
i havnt thought about that the servitors dont have feet yet stomp.........
-
They should try to have different ways to prevent people clumping at a boss' feet and swording them. Like maybe they could have a very strong poison damage over time, for Scorn / Fallen, and maybe teleport you away if its a Vex boss, since Vex can sort of manipulate time and shift things in and out of existence.
-
2 RepliesAlso if you're in the air you shouldn't be affected by the stomp because PHYSICS.
-
3 RepliesServitor’s Suck (actual death title). Techeuns cast something. Hydras idk.

1 Replyhydra farts....

8 RepliesBeen commenting on "stomp" in the forums tonight. Yes the stomp/boop is way over used. Really sick of it and so are a lot of other people from what I have read. Bungie needs to move on, this stomp thing is really making them look lazy.
-
It’s really lazy design... even the classic “knock down and shoot weak spots” mechanic is 100x better.
-
Hydras and Servitors deploy an Impulse Shockwave to repel you.
-
Edited by KILLBOY2003: 10/19/2020 3:32:42 PMUm he vents his Exhaust vents down and wooshes you away Duh ! Edit OMG Bungie get rid of that Dam Woosh Mechanic
-
Think of it as less of a stomp and more as a shockwave or burst of energy.
