Having seen the twab and more information came to light about the Series X and PS5 where the game can be played at 4K 60fps then why are the previous consoles (Xbox 1X/PS4 Pro) which are 4K 60fps capable NOT getting the the increased frame rate???
Who do we call out on this, Bungie? It’s the same game capable of being played on both consoles or Microsoft? Are they slowing down One X’s to 30fps in order to sell more Series X.
It seems this will happen in future if we get new consoles every 2 years where the previous model is well capable but the games played will be capped on previous model consoles.
I’m sure Bungie want everyone to experience the best possible graphics, visuals and gameplay but only if you buy the next gen console...

The question doesn't make sense.
Are they slowing down One X’s to 30fps in order to sell more Series X.
One X was released three years ago. If you want the best graphics & gameplay, buy a gaming PC.

Frame rate is CPU heavy for the most part. Physics engine needs to play well with it, etc. The Xbox One X might have the horsepower for it, but I suppose it wasn't stable enough for Bungie to be acceptable. ~TheGreatNike

Edited by Sweet Lew 88: 10/16/2020 5:11:57 PMBungie never promised 4k 60 on one X. If they promised it, they'd probably do it. They didn't slow it down, it was never that fast.

2 RepliesThe series S isn’t even at 4K 60 FPS So why do you think Xbone 1X should be? And that’s what I play on now. But com December 8th it’s Hello Series X!!!!

Edited by TheArtist: 10/16/2020 3:34:53 PM1. Because l, despite its beefy graphics card, frame rate is more closely related to cpu processing power.... ...and even the 1X is badly underpowered by modern standards. It’s better than PS4 pro, but not by much. 2. Destiny doesn’t have dedicated servers. So that cpu has to not only run the game for you locally, it has to run the games networking as well. More simply. Go play a round of Gambit. Watch how the game hiccups and stutters—@30 fps—when there are lots of objects on screen. Remember how it used to crash with guitar errors? That’s what happens when you try to push a cpu beyond it’s ability to keep up with the computing demands on it. That’s called bottlenecking and in games one of the early signs of it are frame rate drops. This is why it can’t run this game at 60 fps. Because it’s struggles in many places to simply run it at 30 FPS properly. The shooters that run at 60 FPS on these machines do it by sacrificing resolution and detail, to reduce CPU load. They are simple arena shooters not open world games. They have dedicated servers to share the work of running the game. Games that don’t follow this—like Battlefield 1–were infamous for having problems with bottlenecking and unstable framerates. TLDR: A game at a stable 30 FPS looks better than an unstable one at 60 with rubberbanding and pop-ins everywhere.

2 RepliesThe One X can do 60fps on plenty of other games just fine, I think the issue is the engine destiny uses is old and Very CPU demanding, the One X simply doesn't have the power. Just take your time and get the series X, it'll be worth the wait! (as long as your TV has HDMI 2.1 lol)

Pretty sure the One X doesn’t have enough TFPs to run 4K 60 FPS

5 RepliesYou knew this console was coming out for over a year, it’s on you for not saving up for it
