Traction/lightweight frame hidden buff broken?

So, apparently traction provides a hidden buff to hunters that warlocks and titans cannot take advantage of. Hunter class ability is tied to the mobility stat, or at least it is SUPPOSED to be. Traction adds a hidden buff to dodge cooldown ~-2 seconds no matter your mobility stat is. Lightweight weapons and ~-4-4.5 to the same cool down, again regardless of where your stat is. So, a hunter can run 7 tier mobility with a lightweight frame and traction and attain an effective 10 mobility. This is kinda ridiculous with how powerful hunter movement and dodge already is, especially when paired with stomp-ees. This has been known since traction was first introduced to exoitics as a perk even before armor 2.0. Thus, the claim that you haven't had time to address this is kinda moot. So, are you guys ever going to patch this, as warlocks and titans cannot use mods or regular weapon archetype characteristics to increase their class abilities beyond what is displayed as their regular cool downs. There isn't a mod either can slot into a middle slot that gives hidden boosts to rifts, in air control or recovery, etc just standing around doing nothing. I know of no weapon archetype that boosts either of these either, ie titans don't get a faster barricade if using high impact etc. Essentially, hunters can use non exotic gear and a middle boots mod to give an additional buff to their class cooldown that titans and warlocks must sacrifice an exotic slot to gain, and as far as i know there are no weapon archetypes that boost barricade or rift cooldowns. The main effect here is min-maxing. Shaving 30 points off of a stat means not only do hunters get a leg up with a class abilty disadvantage, they can then allocate 30 points/3 mod slots to another stat that other classes have to use that energy on their armor AND slots on their armor to attain. Kinda ridiculous no? Just a thought, because hunters mobility advantage is already absurd in a game that heavily relies on the 16/9 aspect ratio as well as bullet magnetism as well as reticle magnatism, even without stompees, and have by far the strongest and most versatile PVP class ability that most times makes them invincible to damage, breaks targeting lock and often eliminates their crit spot for controller users mid engagement, that recharges absurdly fast by comparison to the others. Maybe an effective nearly FREE 30 points of mobility ought to be addressed? Warlocks, outside of top tree dawn, already have the worst melee in the game, that literally anyone would trade the useless 'range' that more than 50+% of the time wiffs or melees THROUGH the opponent for equal time to melee across classes, so that, i don't know, if you melee first you win a slap fight?? The rift is only viable behind cover or if you pair it with an exotic or terrible subclass. While titan barricades do work is some select spots in specific game modes comparatively in PVP it is not game breaking. Do hunters really need yet another PVP advantage? REALLY?

  • Hunter main and do agree its not great for titan and warlock but you've also forgot dragons shadow gives a bump in dodge regeneration, so essentially if they run the right mods and dragon shadow they can keep a 50 stat and maintain it as if they have 100 as long as a hunter pulls off a dodge. Essentially hunters can also get supers a lot faster running a mod that give them super energy while in close proximity to enemies if they use dodge. So not only do they get a nice buff from dragon shadow, if they have correct mods a hunter can become a tad bit broken. Fortunately there is a mod that give 20 strength but that's all which isn't much help with titan and warlock. I do belive they should implement more mods for them two classes to do more for there class abilities. But it is what if is sadly. Ps: I've always mained hunter before even knowing all about this stuff but I just liked the void super but no longer like going invis prefer using spectral blades.

  • Traction adds mobility points to that armor piece. It's not a bug

    • Traction gives +5 to mobility (that's shown on the stats of the tiem) and then an additional +10 that's hidden. This works for all the classes. But obviously only hunters gets the additional cooldown decrease (you cant go below 9 seconds though but you can stay at 90-something in mobility and still reach max).
