The tether should suppress while in flight( if someone walks past it it auto detonates immediately without the wind up). Just lost a trials match versus those stupid ass spectral blades because as the tether catches him he hits me and (while tethered) swipes at my friend and also kills him while being tethered. Not a very impressive super when it is supposed to be a shutdown/ trap super and it doesn't activate until a near full second after being triggered. Sorry for he salt, other than that it is and always has been a good super.

19 RepliesTo be fair, Spectral Blades is imbalanced as hell. -invisibility -lasts forever -massive damage reduction -constant attacks make it impossible to land consistend crits. The only saving grace is that its range is somewhat limited, but the super overal is still far more powerful than it should be compared to other supers.
-
It’s fine where it’s at because of invis. Just have to time your tethers better.
-
3 RepliesIf invisibility is as bad as everyone here makes it seem why does so many hunter use it? Lol. Every match there's at least one hunter invis 90% of the game.
-
It’s never worked properly. Since D2 came out they’ve said numerous times that they’ve increased the activation speed, but it’s still slow as sh!t. CoolGuy made a great video on how to use it best, but as they say, you can’t polish a turd. I love the neutral game on top tree, which is why I run it, but in a game that’s all about these abilities called SUPERS, shadowshot doesn’t feel very super to me.

Edited by St0rmpillow666: 10/13/2020 10:58:43 PMyou had my upvote at tether should active
-
2 RepliesBut you all ready get a near indestructible bubble that you can hide in and increases your weapon damage, suppression grenades and a one hit kill melee... Oh wait. That’s me🤣 I agree. Buff tether!
-
3 RepliesSure don't jerk my screen around when tethered and allow me to look around freely. Also remove damage resistance when shooting the tether. And im okay with it.
-
6 RepliesSo you want a counter button against all other supers? I'm not surprised at all that a hunter player would want that.
-
8 RepliesOf course you hunters aren't satisfied with a broken neutral game but want a broken super on the same damn tree lmfao. I can't with y'all cry babies. 😭🤣
-
32 RepliesJust get better, I have 0 problems with using tethers against roaming supers unless I pop while they're right on top of me about to attack😂😂😂.
-
8 RepliesTether is fine. Spectral is just a bs super in general.
-
4 RepliesI'm convinced people don't realize that tether has an activation delay because the single shot tree has a perk that makes it stick around and wait for people
-
3 RepliesIt’s a trade off because top tree gives you invisibility every 10ish seconds.
-
6 RepliesA list changes I'd love to see made to non-Quiver tether, even if some of them have to come from an Exotic armor: 1. No longer pings radar. What good is a trap the enemy clearly knows about? 2. No "wind up" between detection/sending out tethers. You're caught the moment it knows you're there. 3. Tethered players have their controls inverted, more dramatic visual distortion, and movement speed penalty is dramatically increased. Basically if you get caught, you can't move and your ability to fight back is hilariously impeded. Get caught, get dead much more often. 4. Direct impact damage increased to kill any super with every defense buff stacked. Essentially, a Nova Bomb with no blast-radius. 5. New animations to remove the "hop" when firing from the ground. This one goes for Quiver too. 6. Improved damage resistance when firing. Damage resist persists for ~3 seconds after firing.

Tether is total garbage in PvP but the rest of the class is really strong so if they buffed tether too much, the class would be too powerful.

Edited by Kishi: 10/11/2020 3:12:53 AMFeel you on that.. you’re jumping in mid air, shooting a bow in slow motion. Even after shooting it you’ve still gotta wait for the charge up and after it attaches, its seconds before it even takes effect lol Same time it would kinda be broken because it would defeat any roaming super to ever hit the game.
-
-blam!- no. If you're having that issue, stop trying to use Way of the Trapper as a shutdown on the fly. It's called Trapper for a reason.
-
6 RepliesTether should be 400 damage to kill a dude in his super. I'm sick of landing the tether on a titans just to have him shoot me because tether is a joke, a meme, and a funny death animation.
-
I stopped play with tether when it got needed, hasn't been the same, and yes it has a slow activation... So dose rift for warlocks ..

Edited by Truthiness_Inc: 10/10/2020 6:35:17 PMWait, you want it to proximity detonate in mid air on people you missed? Lol no. I do agree it needs some love though. There should be zero activation time when it hits the ground. If my nova bomb can kill instantly the moment it hits the ground and detonates the tether can tether people the moment it hits and triggers. Don't know why they keep the tether so lame in crucible honestly. Also the fact that people can keep swinging their super after getting tethered is ridiculous. https://youtu.be/20VlZnYq81U

2 RepliesI think you mean it should fire and always be active. It sounds good. But that could make aiming difficult. Like if there's an enemy behind you, and you fire it, wouldn't it just instantly stop and connect to the nearest enemy? Like how would it work?
-
2 RepliesEdited by GHOST 9o5: 10/10/2020 3:36:09 AMThe neutral game of top tree NS is very good. If a neutral game is good, the super should not also be very good as well. Not until everything is that level of neutral game good. The super definitely doesn't need an instant activation buff. We can have it kill anything it touches on direct hits I'd say, but otherwise leave it as is. It's meant to be a preemptive super, anyway. The only true buffs it should have is that it doesn't pulse when not triggered, and that it doesn't appear on radar.

Tether is hot garbage. Always has been. It’s in desperate need of a buff. AoE suppression in flight.
-
Who needs a tether when you can just freeze stuff in place!
6 shot quiver is great boss dps and one shots guardians
Edited by Ghostfire239: 10/10/2020 2:38:38 PMAt this point I’ve given up on Tether. It’ll never be a good super so don’t waste your time on it. People have been asking for a way to buff tether since Taken King (At least it was better in PvP than it is now). I try using my super in different ways but the the results are never worth the effort. I’ve even tried using them as traps and place it at an area I know the enemy will go or I will try to lure enemies to it, but they usually just notice the blink red aura it gives off. Can you get this super to work? Yes, but your enemies need to be incompetent or you need some luck on your side.

7 RepliesOr maybe not every super should be tailor made to screw people in pvp. Just a thought. Hunters already get wall hacks, invis, two of the top three best cancel supers, and suppression grenades (grenades that cancel supers, imagine being that broken). Why should they get yet another broken weapon in pvp when everybody else is getting consistently and constantly nerfed?
