The truth is that there have been lots of players like that. There even used to be lots of those players around here. There still are players like that. Mostly over at reddit. And it's not that reddit posts don't get just as negative as many of the posts here. They just make more sense. Part of that is the rules - part of it is - frankly - the maturity of the posters and the effort they expend. A big part of it is that you can say -blam!- all you want, but if you say stupid, inaccurate, or ridiculous shit, people will call you out on it. There are lots of people who love Destiny and see the problems with very clear eyes. It's just a shame how often people who claim they hate the game, some who don't even play it, dominate the conversation here.

You have been calling me names. I'm waiting for you to explain why my arguments don't make sense, which of my premises are inaccurate, and why my opinions aren't valid. Calling me a "fan boy" doesn't do any of those things.
You have been calling me names. I'm waiting for you to explain why my arguments don't make sense, which of my premises are inaccurate, and why my opinions aren't valid. Calling me a "fan boy" doesn't do any of those things.
How many names did I call you exactly? I did, but just like Kelly you don't accept anything but your opinion. You don't argue or discuss things, but you tell people why they are wrong. And if you can't tell this behaviour rubs the people the wrong way, may be you aren't as mature as you think you are. And your claim of reddit users being more mature is just wrong. The difference destiny forums over there and here, reddit is heavily moderated, Destiny forum here is barely moderated.

You obviously haven't spent much time at reddit. And I guess you can't resist the insults.
You obviously haven't spent much time at reddit. And I guess you can't resist the insults.
Oh I have. It's clear that you see what you wanna see rather than what's actually there. And I got no problems insulting those who deserve it.
-
This is definitely true, but I've also found that a lot of those nonsense one-line 'feedback' vomit posts are borne out of exasperation from not being heard. There's only so many times you can bring up the same point over and over before you realise you're not getting anywhere being constructive. For every one-line post in the feedback forum, there's a well-written, constructive post for the same point.
It's just a shame how often people who claim they hate the game, some who don't even play it, dominate the conversation here.
It is a shame, but I feel that for a different reason, I'm willing to bet that they were all at one point a player who loved the game and played it often before they became that kind of person.

No there isn't. Way too much of the same shit over and over. Take today. Yadda... Yadda... Yadda... You really think 8 posts about the same topic helps? Especially when Cozmo said Bungie is aware of the problem hours ago? That many posts isn't a conversation... it's a bunch of people shouting for attention. And half the replies are just people making the same old arguments that come down to congratulating themselves for having the superior taste to hate Bungie. Jesus... it's a video game... not only is not that bad... a lot of us think it's mostly pretty good. And for all of the people bragging about how they were smart enough to quit playing I bet there are 10x as many people who still play the game but have got disgusted and quit the forum.
-
You really think 8 posts about the same topic helps
Yes. Given that those posts are longer than a TWEET...and go into some detail about what is actually going on. That information can be conveyed back to the devs, and could actually help speed up the process of trying to find the problem IF this happens to be bug..... ...and give ideas for solutions if it isn't. Information is ALWAYS a good thing.
-
No it really isn't. Accurate, relevant, and new information is useful. Repetitive and irrelevant information is just noise. Accusations, insults, and recriminations are just self-indulgent wastes of pixels.
-
Only you aren’t really in the position to make that call. Because you don’t know what snippet of information winds up being the key to track down a bug, or sparks the idea for a good hot fix.
-
And how many of the posts on this subject contain relevant information? How many are just "me too" declarations and insults directed at Bungie? You ask Bungie "why?" but in many posts you have no problem explaining to others in great detail why Bungie has not prioritized their concerns. You criticize others who don't seem to understand how hard it is to perfect the many systems that go into game design. So do I. You've set yourself up as someone who represents a higher standard. I don't see it reflected in this instance.
-
Again. You are not in a position to make that call. Do you work for Bungie? Do you know how the game is coded and it’s systems interact? Unless a post is pure salt, you have no idea which posts will be useful to them. If we apply your (Il)logic, all Bungie ever needs is feed back from one person and the rest of the player base is unnecessary.
-
You really think 8 posts about the same topic helps?
I really think your second question answers the first.
Especially when Cozmo said Bungie is aware of the problem hours ago?
Right, he responded on one of those threads. Clearly not enough visibility to be noticed by those who need it to be seen. More threads means more visibility and more awareness of the issue, it's a lot easiler to miss, or even ignore, a thread even if it does have thousands of upvotes. Perhaps if Cozmo had made a more publicly visible post about acknowledging the issue, then maybe we'd see less complaint posts.
-
...and hadn't just replied on Reddit. I suspect he did it there, because he knew he'd find a friendlier room.
-
And apparently the response he left here (on B.net, before the reply to this thread) wasn't even to one of the threads in the Feedback forum, so of course it wasn't going to be seen by people wanting to provide feedback. Again, lack of awareness, the second biggest crock of shit after upvoting to agree...
-
Yes... because a big blue flag on a top thread that says "Bungie replied" is almost impossible to see. "Awareness" is the second biggest crock of shit after "upvote if you like..." It's really just a giant circle of people patting each other on the back over how outraged they are and saying "hey look at me... I'm outraged too!!!". Nothing new, nothing helpful, not even anything clever. And if anybody came up with a post, heaven forbid, about anything else that was actually new, helpful, or clever? Nobody would see it.
-
Its impossible to see if you aren't on the platform. Which is the case for most of the player base.
-
Platform? If you mean the forum... what part of the player base is going to see these posts if they're not on the forum? Do you mean the huge majority of the player base who don't use the forum, just play the game, and really don't need someone else to tell them when something is annoying. As for informing Bungie... what's your reaction when your children keep tugging on your shirt and yelling in your ear after you've made it clear you've heard them?
-
I don’t have any kids that I know of, so I’m afraid I can’t answer that question...😉
-
lol, how 'big' do you think it is? Also, it doesn't put that reply to the top of the thread unless it has been replied to recently. And then when you have people arguing unnecessarily in one of those duplicate threads without the 'big flag' on it, it gets pushed down even more. So yes, awareness is an issue, clearly, or else we wouldn't be talking about dozens of threads from people who haven't seen the reply...
