Wtf is wrong with youre guys at bungie?
To get the catalyst quest done from the weapon smith I have to play 400 matches in the crucible or 400 Strikes or 400 nightmare strikes or 400 gambitmatches?
We talk about at least 10 minutes per activity means at least 4000 minutes in total which are 66 hours and 40 minutes straight for a catalyst!!!!! It doesn't count in higher difficultys or amounts of slain enemys in the crucible or whatever! You gain 1 Point of progress for each activity!!!!
Even the hardest catalystmissions so far that made me kill 250 enemys with the specific weapon in crucible is a bad joke against this one!
Stop throwing stuff like that in the game just to make people play the same bullshit over and over and over again just to finish one damn quest! I'm allready sick from this stupid questlimitation that make mestruggle to pick quests because I have long term quests allready that take forever or questitems count as quests too! At least making those activitys differ in progress would be a start but this way it is just a big "fuc....you!" in the players face!

1 Reply400 activities? Are you talking about the seasonal exotics? Eriana's Vow and Symmetry? During the season they were featured there was a 4x multiplier so you only had to do 100 activities. That socks having to do that with no multiplier. #fomo

Yes, it's very ridiculous especially since you still have to go out and get the kills to actually complete the catalyst once you've done the 400 activities. Hey, if you let FOMO take over, you can rush through the season pass (next time...) so that you have the 4x multiplier active.
-
What catalyst are you after because with the past seasons there have been multipliers to their respective catalysts.
-
Annoying as the quest is, it's a guaranteed catalyst unlike the RNG catalysts that may not drop at all throughout those 400 activities.

7 RepliesIt's definitely a slow burn. Play at your normal pace and it'll be completed faster than you expect (probably). It is what it is.
-
7 RepliesYou're looking at it wrong. If you worry so much about the catalyst, you're just going to make progress feel slower. Play the game normally and don't focus so much on the catalyst. You'll have it done before you know it.

2 RepliesI picked up Eriana's Vow the first week of this season, and finished the quest to get the catalyst in about 8 weeks. I just stuffed the gun in the vault and didn't pay attention and just played the game. It took a while, but it wasn't at all hard, and I didn't have to change anything about the way I played.

4 RepliesIt wasn’t that bad during the season it came out with x4. I didn’t get eriana catalyst until dawn and just got while playing throughout the season since they made the change that you don’t have to have the weapon equipped. 250 kills is hard for you for a catalyst? Oof, never go for the sleeper catalyst then lol
-
Yeah, if you did it during the appropriate season, it would probably only be 100. You snooze you lose
-
2 RepliesWhich catalyst? Every season pass exotic has had catalyst progression multipliers that cut down the number of matches and/or kills, needed substantially.
-
You also don’t need to have the weapon equipped just have it on you
