I miss seeing those Destiny PvP "Gods" having that one little red bar.
-
I think ping number would really help to know if you are in a good lobby or not.
-
I think bungie hated all the redbar posts in the forums. Still I miss it as well. At least you could see what person was causing an issue wether it was their crap wifi or strait up cheating. Then you could block them.

8 RepliesIt was removed as it couldn't be counted on to show what was really going on. A connection half way around the world would be red bar simply due to distance and not real quality fo the connection. While nobody wants to play a match with a red bar.. Bungie ultimately took it out to protect players from other players.. same with the lack of open world mics where you could just run into people and chat like many other games. All was designed to protect players from others.

1 ReplyWasn't that back when they had the lagswitchers

2 Repliesthey hide connection quality and game mode population nowadays to control snowballing negative player behavior I'm with you, I'd rather have more information than less. These game devs act more like its a privilege to play their game rather than focusing on an excellent customer experience. This pops up in the grind and live service design a lot.

24 Repliesthat would expose the nonfunction of cbmm.

1 ReplyWhat do you mean. You can still see their connection..... just look for the teleporting guardians that take no damage, appear next to you, you die, they’re sudd let in the other side of the map, you respawn and then it shows that you killed them with your shotgun.....
-
2 RepliesThat would further more diminish the population. I know for me back when that was a thing, I would report/block them so I wouldn't match up with them anymore. 😯
-
2 RepliesThe moment I see a person teleport 10 meters in front of me, then for me to die instantly from him, is the moment I leave. Screw that. I'm not playing a game with someone who has a WiFi router made from legos.
-
7 RepliesSame. It was easier to blame Red-bar Ronald for my bad games when I stayed up for two days playing PvP instead of the bags under my eyes and my inactive brain.
-
I miss the game actually functioning. The stability has been through the floor lately.
-
I miss seeing those Destiny PvP "Gods" having that one little red bar.
Yeah bungie hid it and then celebrated how they fix the lag
-
It was all a lie anyway
-
I feel like I’d be more depressed actually seeing full lobbies of redbars. At least now I can live in denial and blame it on something else

5 RepliesRed 1 standing by Red 2 standing by Red 3 standing by Red 4 standing by Red 5 standing by Me a green bar: yea the game started 5 minutes ago how are you still loading in?

I would say yes if the system they had before even accurately portrayed people’s connection. It pretty much always showed everyone else as lagging even though you were the one who was lagging.
-
I’ve all of sudden started matching people from India.... that’s an experience.....

2 RepliesEdited by SHOCKWAVE 134: 10/3/2020 4:01:01 PMAs a highly skilled/pinnacle tier/top level/high ranking gamer I fervently disagree. I find this to be abhorrent misguided wrongheaded and lacking gravitas.
PS I’m a wayfarer Hunter main and D1 pre alpha vet.
21 RepliesYou have a 0.9 kd so showing connection wouldn’t help https://destinytracker.com/d2/profile/psn/BruceLee_NL

1 ReplyEdited by Double07: 10/2/2020 6:48:21 PMAlso, I miss being able to freely see the people I am playing with or against in a lobby before the game starts, which isn't impenetrable because I could use an app to bypass that, and get a better analysis on my opponents. However, I should be able to freely do it in a casual game because I don't get to appreciate someone's character while waiting.

I miss seeing other players.

1 ReplyIt was good to have in raids also, if the raid was heavily glitching out you knew who was causing it

1 ReplyEdited by OhtheHugeManity5: 10/3/2020 3:45:36 AMYeah, it's a real bummer not having that extra reason to be toxic as hell over a video game.

5 RepliesEdited by MUSGRADA: 10/25/2020 3:39:19 AMThey took it out after D1 because instead of giving a better connection system, they wanted to keep their cheap a$$ peer-2-peer
