Can we get an attempt at sandbox balance please instead of just a blatant meta shift?

I get it. Perfect balance is hard. Some would even say impossible. But there is a big difference between: Meta A: Most used weapon type has 30% usage while second most used weapon type has 17% usage; and Meta B: Most used weapon type has 20% usage while second most weapon type has 18% usage. Big difference there. Right now on console we are in Meta A. Easy fix would be to nerf 600 RPM autos into the ground, but that would leave us in a different Meta A. I'd like to be in Meta B, which means some things have to come down and some things have to come up.
Suggestions: Personally, I think 600 RPM autos could come down slightly. There are a few options. Lower range, damage, or both. The last update definitely went too far in the right direction. Another idea would be to let them have their original TTK of 0.8 seconds, but let them kill in like 7 body shots and 2 crits. (Make the crit ratio is very small.) Letting autos have a slower TTK than precison weapons while allowing them a fast bodyshot TTK would allow them to punish anyone who used a precison weapon and missed. Autos would punish every hand cannon user who missed in that scenario, as they should. Just an idea. I think just toning down damage and range is a better idea in all honesty, given the changes are slight (0.75 second TTK and more damage falloff). I don't want useless autos, so I'm open to any idea that doesn't make them useless. High imapct autos need a recoil adjustment. Nobody on console likes seeing almost perfectly horizontal recoil. Next are hand cannons. 140s, even Ace of Spades, are pretty much useless on console. And that's coming from someone with 4k PvP kills with Ace on PS4. 140s need more range and need to kill all guardians in 2 crits and 1 body shot. I'm thinking the range needs to be bumped to 30-32 meters. Also, Memento Mori needs some love. A lot of love. 110s need a lot more range. 36+ meters. Their TTK is over a second. They have monstrous recoil. Common sense if you ask me. Pulse rifles need something. Not sure what it is, but some archetypes (looking at you 450s) need it. Maybe they feel weak because autos occupy similar range but better? Not sure. If an auto adjustment doesn't fix it, some archetypes could use some range and stickiness. Maybe a faster bodyshot TTK. Some just seem to be lacking. Scout rifles. My God scout rifles. They need less zoom, more handling, and some stickiness across the board. Very few scouts feel good to use at the noment. SMGs need a MUCH faster bodyshot TTK. They're meant to counter shotguns. Give them the consistency to do that please. Snipers need their flinch addressed. Shouldn't go towards the head. Snipers need to be looked at so snipers with low zoom scopes + high aim assist + high range aren't the only viable options. 3rd person peeking needs to be removed from Trials. I know that isn't a weapon thing, but come on. 20 minute Trials matches aren't fun. Shotguns are probably fine. Let's be real. Sidearms crush them and the SMG buff above will too. And we aren't looking for another special weapon just take its place to dominate, which will happen if shotties are nerfed again. We want balance. Fusions could use a meter or two of range. No more than that please. Also, an FoV slider on PS5 and the new Xbox might really have a beneficial impact. Also, special ammo economy. Special weapon kills drop one special shot, period. Primary weapon kills drop 2 shots, 3 with scavenger. This would be a system that rewards players for using their special to enhance their primary play and punish those that never use a primary. (Crates punish players who use their special well with their primary, slow the game down, encourage camping, and add an artifical time limit to play potential, so that's a no-go for me.) Sorry about the lack of specifics. It's 1 a.m. and I've been doing CFD all day today.
Let me know what you guys think.

 • The real problem — which Bungie gives lip service to, but never does anything about — is the inexcusably long time between sandbox updates. We keep getting told that faster, more frequent updates are on the way, when in reality, we’re now going I think more than six months without a substantial adjustment.
