can someone tell me how I can get them easier for the reaper set because I want to get reckoner but those reaper medals are a pain.

You don't need to rely on your super. I got all my medals with Xenophage. I had 2 ammo finder and scavenger mods and a heavy finisher. Work on 2 waves to get half your super energy to get ammo for xeno and the occasional heavy ammo drops. You will get 10 ammo with the finisher and 4 from the heavy spawn. You can then farm the 3rd or 4th wave.

1 ReplyAll the comments in this thread are spot on in regards to weapons and subclasses. However, I've personally found that the map you get and the enemies that spawn also drive how easy it is going to be. You'll get some matches with Hive where it is spawning shriekers which makes it very difficult to get your kills without dying too early. I've also had matches where the match loads more huge yellow bars and less small yellow bars and no red adds at times. And as has been mentioned many of your medals are going to come from using your super. So you're going to have matches where your team activates the primeval before you get a good enemy spawn and thus you get no chance to pop your super. It can also work the other way, the opposing team can burn their primeval before you get the optimal map location/enemy when your super is ready. So it is definitely the most frustrating medal to get, you're fortunately not really fighting your fellow teammates like you will be for the other GP Triumphs, instead you're fighting the RNG nature of the map, enemy types, and timing of what spawns when your super is ready. Also keep in mind that some players that indicate it wasn't a problem may have been playing in a fireteam and were able to coordinate the timing of activating the primeval and helping with the larger adds so they could plow through the smaller adds. So if you're solo queuing don't expect your experience to go as smoothly as theirs did.

2 RepliesThere are a lot of ways to get it, but I'll boil it down to a few fundamentals that can be used with any loadout: 1. Roaming Super: While you can still get Massacre medals without using your super, supers are an easy way to get one. This is especially useful when using a super that has a long duration and AOE effects. My top picks per class are Top Tree Arcstrider with Raiden Flux, Top Tree Stormcaller with Crown of Tempest, and Middle Tree Sentinel with Doom Fang Pauldron (Bottom Tree Striker is a close 2nd). 2. Spam AOE grenades: First of all, always ensure you have the +15 bonus active, if you are using an exotic (which you definitely should), use a Reaper Synth. The +15 bonus allows you to spam grenades if you get a Major kill, which is incredibly useful. Having AOE effects on grenades allow you to get more kills. My top picks per class are Arcbolt for Arcstrider Hunter, Arcbolt for Stormcaller, and Voidwall for Sentinel Titan. For Hunter, while Void grenades are better, I stick with Arcstrider for the super potential. 3. Don't use a primary weapon, use double special: This is something a lot of people don't consider. The +6 Reaper bonus gives you a Special Brick that basically gives full special for 2 weapons. I personally got my Massacre medals running Jotunn as my main weapon with Mountaintop mainly for boss DPS. People have also had success with Telesto. 4. Know the spawn locations and which areas are best for quick kills. As an example, some maps are just not great for getting Massacre medals. I don't think I've gotten a single Massacre medal on Kell's Grave or Cathedral of Scars, the adds simply spawn too far away from each other. My favorite map is Legion's Folly, specifically, The Drill and The Steps, on multiple occasions, I've accidentally gotten Massacre medals there just by killing the adds there normally. One time I got 2 medals in one game by accident. Emerald Coast is also a decent map for getting Massacre medals. If you are on a map that has one of these locations that is great for getting these medals, be sure you are there first to get the kills first. 5. Don't try to get them all in one sitting. Set small incremental goals. Play until you get a medal or two, then take a break. If you spend over an hour trying to get one with no success, take a break. It can be a mental drain, just take it one step at a time. 6. I would only consider trying this once you get practice on your own, but finding a LFG group may not be a bad idea, just make it known you are trying to get Massacre Medals. If you do this, I would only ask the team to back off on getting kills if it is one of the spawns that is great for getting the medal, if you ask your team to back off each time, you probably won't have a team for very long. You can do it with people going for different medals, so it's a win-win. I personally didn't do this myself, but it can be an option. Hopefully some of this helps. Good Luck!

1 ReplyWhat are you doing? I still get them by accident.

Edited by Rain: 10/1/2020 1:38:51 PMGot mine on hunter. Riskrunner and damage yourself with the sticky or hope for fallen. Raiden flux with arcstrider and liars.(switch to raiden on super because just using liars can get the medal) Be aware specific maps/spawns are easier like beach for example. Warlocks use tickle fingers with crown. Titans can use skullfort with bottom or top tree arc or bottom/top tree hammers. For me it was the 50 hvt that took a while. Pro tip- try to leave a spawn early to be first and have time on the next spawn. When all else fails super a fresh spawn. Avoid majors if possible. Goodluck. Ps. Put together a group of others on lfg looking to do other gear sets for reckoner.

I used trinity ghoul for mine this season
-
A masterworked trinity ghoul usually works for me, provided you have a good viewpoint of your targets, which could be map dependant
-
I finished getting mine tonight as a Titan, used Sentinel super with Doomfangs, for weapons i used masterworked Witherhoard, Gnawing Hunger & Falling Guillotine, also used some grenade & super regen mods on the armour I started on Sunday and it took me a good while to get them but keep at it and you'll manage it too

Storm caller with Tempest

2 RepliesWarmind Cells.
-
Botton tree striker + reaper 15 bonus + riskrunner, easy kills.

3 RepliesEdited by Lull9: 9/30/2020 6:54:32 AMI get them all the time by accident (have had Reckoner done for a long time). Top tree Crown of Tempests Stormcaller or Raiden Flux Arcstrider. (I run bottom tree, don't think it's hugely important which one though) Also, be a huge selfish jerk, and the entire match focus ONLY on getting to a wave of adds by yourself with your super ready.
-
Step 1: Bottom tree Sunbreaker or Sentinel with Ashen Wake or Doomfang Step 2: everything is dead.
-
Did it with my hunter using huckleberry.
-
Don't pick up motes just kill
-
2 RepliesI got 9 out of 10 just from using Telesto. Literally just Telesto.
-
Huckleberry with catalyst or tether

3 RepliesHaha these are definitely super tough. I'm working on mine for reaper now as well. My friends who have done it swear on two things: Warlock with crown of tempest (this comes from people who main Titan and Hunter) and risk runner. Good luck guardian!

As mentioned, stormcaller w crown of tempest does great, as does trample with Fist of Havoc if you know your teammates will have your back and not steal kills. It's really a coordination thing, the 3s between kills is what must get a lot of people, cuz I've definitely slayed 20+ with a single super dozens of times without getting Massacre.
