I think about this everyday about how awesome it would be to see our very own guardian in a cutscene fighting off among allies or even themself. Why isn’t this a thing???
Back in the Red War campaign on the final battle, we see EVERYBODY fighting for their home except for us and just imagine how phenomenal it would be to see our very own guardian coming in a cutscene, casting a super and absolutely obliterating the enemy????
Why not one day we get a one on one cutscene with a final boss? Throw some punches why not or show us getting thrown around for some suspense on what happens next?? These are just suggestions on further cutscenes. We want to see our guardian kick ass and have us stand up and say “That’s my guardian!”
Please, Bungie???

In Red War you get your ass kicked by Ghaul and kicked off the ship!

I agree with you dude. Everyone on this forum is a troll. it would be awesome to play AND to see. I think its cost, and the fact that they can explain it away or say BS like “its better if you do it” No. its better if you do it AND get the chance to see yourself pole dancing all over Ghaul’s face. I just realized that there are terrible villians in the last few expansions. Shadowkeep didnt have one, Warmind fight was great but bad villan. Osiris was lame. That’s lacking too. Cutscenes in general need a lot of work. Beyond Light teaser wasnt amazing. Hoping this gets better.

3 RepliesBungie believes it better for players to have control as much as possible. It’s more fun to fight the the boss instead of watching a fight. Kinda like how Half-life never used cutscenes because they didn’t want to take control from the player.

So let me get this straight, you are SO lazy you dont want to do the gaming anymore you just want to instead watch a movie of yourself gaming. and would that include watching you die in this movie? Because im pretty sure itll happen alot.

Back in the Red War campaign on the final battle, we see EVERYBODY fighting for their home except for us
Are you high? We were the ones on the ground doing all the actual fighting 😂

1 ReplyHow do you set that up? The cutscene would need to have you chose your favorite super before it started. Each guardian has there own perception on what they would do. Not every hunter is a gunslinger, not every titan is a cray.... striker, not every warlock is a nova. The amount of effort to caption this is to much. So, they let YOU pilot the fight as you want. That is your cutscene. Have someone record you by standing by. Clip. Done.

in mars mission u see your all character

15 RepliesBecause they cant render all the different armor sets or facial options for cutscenes. That's an obscene amount of work. That's why we show up in cutscenes that are rendered in real time, but we cant be in pre rendered ones.

Cutscene?

I would rather see my Guardian doing more tactical things imo. Fighting and destruction is nice and all, but it's not everything.
-
Speaking personally, I prefer not fighting in cutscenes out of the fact that whenever my character is involved in "action or fighting" I am the one doing it. I don't want to become an armchair spectator guardian. However, more cutscenes or a filmreel section in general would be no bad thing ^^

4 RepliesOur guardian doesn’t even speak in cutscenes

Edited by max: 9/29/2020 11:16:28 PMBecause no one ever fights in a cutscene
-
Because WE are the ones. Doing the fighting. Cutscenes are for story and building up things.
-
Well... we do spend the majority of our time in the actual game fighting. It’s cool to see other characters fight because we don’t see that often. We see ourselves fight all the time, just from a first person perspective, so... I guess try to imagine what you look like?

Edited by TJ_Dot: 9/29/2020 10:58:54 PMStrong chance it'll be diservicable. Nothing really interesting has ever happened inside in-engine cutscenes.

2 RepliesIt’d be too epic. You would need welding goggles or risk going blind.

2 RepliesWe don’t want another master chief vs locke style fight...

Because immersion places us in the eyes of our guardian for the fights. I wish there were no 3rd person cutscene of our characters. Get that Half-Life "you are the protagonist" vibe a little more.
-
2 RepliesWell the guardian does get his/her arse kicked, when Gaul kicks us off his ship.
-
How about because our Guardian is us and having our guardian fight without us in control would break immersion completely. I mean, the things you people want.

They're constipated

I'm not an expert, but maybe because we're fighting outside of cutscene?I understand, of course, but this is the dumbest claim I've ever heard.Congratulations.
