I use a disk version of D2 and wonder how the reload of destiny on the 9th will effect my game ...you know I start the game by putting a disk in what could this do to my game when we have to completly reload the game november?

2 RepliesStop using the disc. There's no reason since the downloaded version is functionally identical, and free for everyone.

2 RepliesThere is zero reason to be using the disc anymore. The only thing on the disc is the D2 base game (which is free to everyone), the data for which gets overwritten with the up to date version of the game, with three year's worth of updates and DLC. All you're doing by using the disc is making yourself go through the extra step of making sure the disc is in the drive.

10 RepliesSame as everyone else. The disc is only for rights verification. Games haven't played off of the disc since the XB360/PS3 days.

Simple answer: Nothing different from everyone else, probably. More likely than not, you'll get an update 10 hours before Beyond Light drops, and you'll just have to redownload the game, just like it's an update. Shouldn't be anything extra, and I don't think you'll have to do anything else. We don't have a lot of info from Bungie on how the download is going to work, but we can assume it'll just be an update that will be around 59-71GB to redownload the game.

Should be the same for everyone else. Will just have to put the disc in and redownload it
