What the heck is the suit that Sloane found?
I’m not sure I like the idea of something that snakes a tube through your gut.
On the other hand it sounds like it’s pretty darn powerful.
Edit: I initially envisioned the tube as actually punching through her skin to coil inside her abdomen, perhaps as a way to rapidly inject stimulants or something (I dunno) but the consensus seems to be that it is a catheter. I will read the relevant lore tab again.
Edit 2: The lore tab says, “There was no pain as the suit snaked a tube [i]through her side[/i] and coiled somewhere around her stomach.” What sort of catheter goes through the side of one’s abdomen? I feel that tube has got to be a stimulant injector of some sort.

3 RepliesThe suit was probably an advanced prototype combat/environment suit but is probably designed to be worn for a while, that's why it has a tube to supply nutrients to the user and it also fits to the users shape.. However, the suit was not designed for lightbearers since Sloane has to learn how to use abilities with the suit on. Sloane, as a member of the firebreakers and follows the code, plans to fight the darkness on titan for however long she can to buy time. Savathun ordered her hive to find the suit and take it, but that could be a trick to make Sloane realise it's importance and use it to destroy the darkness on titan to help her plans.

So, she finds a suit that enhances her combat abilities that crushing bones with her bare hands is “easy”. It’s something she feels at least gives her a chance to take some of the darkness with her...yet she decides that instead of taking the suit to the tower to reverse engineer and study she goes on a one woman suicide mission. What’s the point? I know she’s part of the suicidal order of Titans, but so much more good could come from understanding the tech.

My guess? It’s a suit that would enable her to survive in the Methane Ocean. Considering that the Rig on Titan is threatening to sink beneath the waves that have began to grow ever stronger since the Pyramid has shown up.

The suit might be capable of providing sustenance and removing waste hence the stomach tube. Higher survivability if you don't have to eat or use the restroom.

3 RepliesOne thing that bothers me about this lore is the part that suggests savathun intended for salone to get this suit. My theory: the suite suppress light, so savathun would be able to take her. The new taken Salone could then infiltrate the tower and cause havoc. This makes sense if you look at the darkness's warning about a "wolf in sheeps clothes" to paraphrase. I know a lot of people think it is Zavala, but after reading the above mentioned part I think its Salone
