Helm of Inmost Light should return as Titan's version of Celestial Nighthawk

I would like to see this exotic return with its perk being reworked. It should work similar to how Celestial Nighthawk works: [i]Turns Fist of Havoc into a single slam with massively increased damage and grants Headstrong.[/i] This should basically make the single slam do more damage than all the roaming super's potential ground slams. And Headstrong would be added simply to get a little added range when cast while sprinting, useful to avoid getting boss stomped before you slam.

  • Alright I’m going to ask one question. How much damage do you think it should get. I ask this because the slam is a AoE and celestial nighthawk is a precision single shot where if you miss your shot you are useless.

    • Makes Thundercrash redundant. Not a great idea. I'd like to see Fist become more like D1's where it produced a wave of energy on impact.

        Maybe make the Eternal Warrior do that but leave my Helm Of Inmost Light alone. When I feel like being lazy and super annoying in crucible, I can use the Helm to one shot players with sticky nades every 14 seconds or less with my 100 Discipline, 100 Resilence build on Bottom Tree Hammers.

        • They did that it's called thunder clash. It would make more sense for hammers. They could make it so that it's like rampage for fist of havoc and increase damage for kills or hits. Similar to raidenflux for hunters or the storm caller robe. If you notice bungie like to copy the concept from exotics on other classes

          • I'm surprised top tree isn't just d1 FoH. Here's my idea. Perks seismic strike- same as original but kills now decrease all ability cooldowns. Static Defense- Damaging enemies with ability damage now grants damage reduction. Magnitude- Grants 2 gernades. Hold down gernade button to consumer 1 gernade to improve ability damage radius and effect. (Ex: Flashbang gernades have increased radius, duration and damage) Shockwave- Your fist of havoc is 1 slam but does more damage and has improved damage radius that unleashes a shockwave of death (similar to d1 Shockwave).

          • I’m imagining an Olympic style hammer thrower, where the Titan spins around and around building momentum and then WHAM. Maybe you could do a scale where it consumes class ability or grenade as you spin. The more energy you consume the more damage it will do. The more energy you have the longer you could spin and the more damage you could do, but if timing DPS and stuff like that you’d have to time it well with a team. With no spin, it would still do a lot of damage, but increases from there. Maybe you Could have a choice: consume grenade, And the AoE of a fire pit upon hit increases in size and duration the more energy you consume. consume melee, and it does more direct damage on impact.

              • Here: https://youtu.be/A24zvtcuDEc I took the liberty of testing out the damage of Nova bombs vs Thundercrash vs Blade Barrage. Conclusion? Thundercrash is perfectly fine damage wise and it does NOT need an exotic like celestial nighthawk

                • We could have it effect thundercrash too. Top tree: Big fist of havoc, when in the air long enough release a shockwave that travels along the ground and damages enemies in its path. Middle tree: thundercrash can fly a little longer and each second it flies for increases its damage by 25%. Auto detonate on super bar being empty. Bottom tree: Can do a ballistic slam in super to close large gaps quickly.

                    While I appreciate the idea, I still do love roaming supers. As an alternative, I plead to bring back the helmet and give Strikers the ability to regenerate super energy back for every kill. Edit: or if you play middle tree maybe give it an overshield and increased knockback on impact.

                    • How about instead it grants Thundercrash essentially Full Court and can Max out at 100% more damage at either 40 or 50 meters? Would play into more of the fantasy of being a literal missile!

                      • Id rather them turn it into a Subclass Neutral Exotic... Also they need to completely rework Top Tree Striker Fist of Havoc. Essentially make it D1 Fist of Havoc. [u]My Proposal[/u]: • Literally make it D1 Fist of Havoc... Damage, Radius, Animation Speed, etc.... • Terminal Velocity further increases its damage and Radius I would type out my current Overhaul for Top Tree Striker but its not entirely finished. There are somethings I want to work on before revealing it.
