Here’s why:
Barricade also has a slow animation time, but it provides cover, dodge is instant and can get rid of bullseye magnetism plus move you to cover, but rift does not provide cover, plus has a slow animation, so it is a lot more risky to use especially if you’re anywhere near someone.

I agree. I played Warlock for a bit and the placement time was sometimes problematic (not often, but enough to where I understand why some people want it to be faster). However, to preemptively balance it for PvP (cuz we all know some dumbass would complain about it) I'd say it would probably have its time reduced by a couple seconds and maybe a very VERY small nerf to health regen speed for healing rift. Other than that I think it'd be pretty balanced for PvP and PvE *I personally like it the way it is. The "nerf" is because it would happen eventually because Crucibabies (PvP does not equal Crucibaby, only those who complain because something killed them and they want their Pariah to be the best gun cuz they suck at the game)

And yet with a rift placed down preemptively you can win any primary fight engagement you take, provided you hit your shots and have a strafe. It's not a panic button like hunter dodge can be. Don't use it as such.

1 ReplyThere should at least be an exotic that makes Warlocks cast their rift much faster.
