Dear Bungie,
There have already been many users who've raised this issue, but in the interest of keeping it active I'll resurrect the discussion: Destiny 2 (on Steam) is flat-out incompatible with integrated GPUs, despite these (especially the latest Iris Plus) being more than capable of running the latest AAA titles. In my case, I recently purchased a GPD Win Max and can run everything from Far Cry 5 to GTA V to Batman: Arkham Knight without issue. Unfortunately, Destiny 2 fails to make it past character select. Of course, many people use iGPUs for gaming; why is it that Destiny 2 hasn't been made viable for this audience? I am certain your playerbase would expand not inconsiderably would the game be patched to support iGPUs. As a longtime Destiny player, I ask that you please take this into consideration.
Many thanks,
DCritty

I have the same problem with my new laptop with an Intel Iris Xe, the game crashes before or after the character selection. Please Bungie do something !

Also had the same problem, thanks for the info about the Iris issue. Tbh I think I’m just going to find another game to play on the GPDWM, Destiny is an alright game but its community is pretty toxic... Hopefully Bungie Supports it soon, until then I’m going to enjoy the uniqueness of the Max.

1 ReplyTo be honest, Bungie has always stated that laptops are not officially supported in Destiny 2, no matter their hardware. Sure, they also said that a laptop whose HW exceeds the minimum requirements MAY work, but if it doesn't, it's not their problem.

2 RepliesI don't believe for a minute that the 1035g7 wouldn't be fully capable of running Destiny 2 perfectly well (were it supported), especially given the myriad YouTube videos documenting Destiny 2 running well even on the GPD Win 2.

Probably because igpus aren’t really supported officially for gaming.
