Stuck at "Signing In"

I need some help. I'm visiting my parents and decided to install D2 on their PC; hardware and network connection are more than adequate. However, once D2 comes up and gets past the Shadowkeep screen, before the guardian selection screen, it sits on Signing In. After a minute or two, it gives me a generic error and says the Destiny servers cannot be reached. I've opened all of the suggested ports, I've cleared the Steam cache (not that I understand why that would interfere within the D2 client, but whatever). I even did the file verification within Steam. None of this has resolved the issue. I'm going to be here for a month and I'd like to be able to work on some of the stuff that's going to be vaulted in November. This is keeping me from doing that. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, -Doc

Thanks, -Doc
This sounds like a connection issue of some kind is occurring, and could be an internet service provider issue. Below are suggestions that may help with your issue:
1. Use a wired connection rather than Wi-Fi 2. Quit any program or turn off other devices that are streaming 3. Clear your console cache or, if on PC, verify the integrity of your game files. 4. Power cycle your internet router 5. Improve your latency and packet loss 6. Follow the Network Troubleshooting Guide for best optimizing your connection to Destiny. If issues persist, try the Advanced Steps Networking Guide for possible router solutions, such as enabling UPnP or changing your NAT type. 7. Enable IPV6 on your router to see if that helps
