Bungie right now it doesnt appear Beyond light has much to offer here besides the new stasis abilities which look amazing. yea we are getting a new destination new raid and 1 new strike but lets compare it side by side to forsaken
Beyond Light $40 Expansion
1. New Abilities
2. New Planet and 1 Reskinned planet from D1
3. 1 new Strike
4. 1 new raid
5. no new crucible maps
6. no new dungeon - that i know of yet i am not talking about Prophecy
7. no new game mode like Gambit was in forsaken
8. no new enemy type
Forsaken $40 dollar Expansion
1. New Abilities for each subclass
2. New Raid
3. New Enemy Type
4. New Dungeon first every type of activity like this in the game
5. 4 New Strikes
6. New Game Mode Gambit
7. 2 Brand New Destinations
8. i think like 10 or 11 new exotics
9. like 8 New Story Missions in the form of adventures
10. Pinnacle Weapons Mountaintop, Loaded Question and Breakneck introduced
ok so do you think Beyond Light is worth the 40 dollar price tag keep in mind how much content you lost compared to Forsaken

1 ReplyEdited by reenry: 9/14/2020 10:39:29 AMWell just like before Forsaken we the smallest idea of what we were getting into. All we on Forsaken was: new supers 1 confirmed destination cayde dead story All we have on Beyond Light new supers (element) story exo stranger back new destination (big boi too) the fallen are back at it again I know its not everything but like Forsaken we dont know everything. We have to play to experience everything. So please dont assume Beyond Light is going to be automatically shit. Shadowkeep wasnt the highest quality, we get it. But it was still better then most in the past.

No incentive is why. we are in the "stretch", they will just roll out planned content with slightly delayed time tables to reflect the extended season length. The quality of life up dates would be sucide for them right now. If they "done gone goof it" like they did the last 3 times in a row well..... it would be bad to say the least. For Bungie right now the risk out weights the reward. Its scary in a way that the game is not receiving a quality update because the devs fear their own incompetence due to the more recent track record of back to back to pack failed updates that cause games issues. We dont need meta data to tell us that autos need to have their critical damage brought to a flat 25 vs 25.5 and reduce body shot damage to 12(same ttk btw just rewards head shots). And we dont need the entire games life of meta data to tell us that removing aim assist from snipers while leaving accuracy and stickyness alone would fix the recoil problem.

Because making content is hard.

It’s likely a new dungeon is coming, it’ll just get announced later. Plus yknow stasis which is a lot more then the 3rd trees we got from forsaken They’ll probably drop some nightmare hunt esque gamemode, or maybe pull a boogaloo and drop a 4th node activity. They could just be keeping a lot in the dark. As for new enemy race... from what I can tell we bare getting like splicer level changes to enemies, take that as you will. Europa is looking massive, like the largest location ever massive. You don’t know about new crucible maps, there could be new ones just not announced. Pinnacles were busted and even bungie admits they were a mistake. And exotics we already know 3 are coming. Plus I mean, we have no idea what’s in store, the dlc has kept a lot secret, we could be getting a new social space for all I know. Not a fair judgement in my opinion, I’d wait on this fall to make a decision.

9 RepliesDon't forget, Forsaken came at one of D2's lowest points, and possibly the worst in the whole franchise's history. I don't think it's hit that low since. A lot of people would have to give this game up (if only temporarily)for some Forsaken quality content. Not that I'm advocating that. I'm not.
