Because of the Exodus quest I got BRAYTECH OSBREY and A TITLE! THANKS BUNGIE!!
For the WAYFARER title I only needed this rocket launcher, nothing else. I probably would never have been able to get it because I'm a solo player and I'm always busy doing other stuff in the game so wouldn't have bothered to invest time towards it. I have never been able to unlock a title in this game despite putting thousands of hours into it (https://wastedondestiny.com shows me in the TOP 1% at 5000hrs, total).
I am very impressed that Bungie was thoughtful enough to include these destination weapons as part of the evacuation/Traveller's Chosen quest. It's a very positive gaming experience when the game rewards you for just playing the game in a way that isn't forcing you into activities that cause you migraines and anger/frustration, which is something that happens more often than not in this game.
So, when the opposite is true I feel compelled to call it out. THANKS, BUNGIE. Destiny 2, for me, is a LOVE-HATE kind of relationship. Right now it's a perfect balance, which is all I can really expect. It FEELS GOOD not to hate this game, if just for a little while! <3

1 ReplyWhile I appreciate the sentiment,there is also nothing wrong with having high level challenges for players that want them. Titles are the most difficult and prestigious of challenges, they arent FORCING people to do anything unless they WANT to do it. Congrats, glad you got one, but difficult to obtain titles are perfectly fine as well.

2 RepliesHonestly, I thought it sucked for Bungie to hand out a bunch of expiring junk as rewards, so it’s legit good to know that someone appreciated it. I just thought it was another “classic Bungie” moment where they were oblivious and lazy. So, thanks for the reminder that not everything I dislike is actually bad for the game.

1 ReplyI have an unhealthy hatred towards that strike due to the amount of time I sunk into that strike trying to get that rocket launcher (And even worse with grinding those Braytech weapons ,the Winterwolf is dead to me) However I’m happy that you didn’t have to slog through that and you finally got your title 😄Well done my friend

4 RepliesCongrats on the title, but talk about a kick in the nuts to those that ground Strange Terrain for weeks and weeks on end to get it. Sometimes I feel like why grind when we can just wait to be handed it as a participation trophy?

1 ReplyFor a couple of years RNG has been the deciding factor on some Titles, think about that, I have a title because I'm luckier than you, I didn't grind more, my skill wasn't tested, all I did was roll the dice and get the luck, you shouldn't be thanking them, you should asking them why the f*ck didn't you change something earlier. It's basically like thanking someone for not kicking you in the nuts after they've been doing it for months. When they get it right by all means be positive, but this is a case of something being wrong that needed changing along long time ago.

9 RepliesBraytech Osprey is a Y1 weapon. We are in Y4. Why did it take you 3 years to get one? The answer to that is pretty much cut and dry: Either "A", you didn't put in the effort Or "B", Bungies RNG shows its true colors.... is truly designed to screw thousands of hours out of their players from the mindset of a dangled carrot. So why praise Bungie for the handout? It's like they starve you and then moments before the end they toss you a chicken bone and now they are your savior.

I ran the same strike several times to get what they’re randomly throwing at you. But I don’t have two IKELOS weapons bc EP RNG is completely fukced so I stopped working on a seal that I’m two weapons away from completing bc this game is in part so poorly designed that nothing means anything. It’s all luck and bs.

Now I only need the shotgun from EP. It has never dropped for me at all which is why most of my time will be spent in EP from next Tuesday onwards - I need next weeks boss to complete the catalyst for Worldline Zero.
