Apps are slow AF again
What happened to the fix for the apps recently? They were lightning fast for a few days but after Tuesday’s patch/maintenance they are slow as hell again.

There are no competent developers left in Bungie. They are merely custodians of the legacy code base they cannot understand.

It's a good thing it still changes languages every time you open it though. I was worried I would never see it in Korean or Russian again one time when it opened in english.

Consta tells me I've no internet, even when I'm posting/reading lol. They can't get anything right. Took me about 15 attempts to find the help section this week, bcoz it kept opening in Russian or Japanese

It's funny how they've got people hooked hoping for a remotely decent expansion but they can't even tackle default language on an app.

I love when you're stuck at a blank screen with a spinning circle for 5 minutes just to get a "account cannot be updated" error code. Then I swing over to Ishtar app and everything thing is butter smooth. Go figure.

Because Bungie won't spend enough money on physical servers and/or cloud contracts to be able to handle peak user loads. So we just get to "deal with it" so they can save money. This happens every time content drops.

I haven't noticed any slow down but I think there was an issue Bungie addressed in the latest update. When was the last time you updated it?

High speed internet, everything else on my phone loads and connects in a second or less, app takes 10 to 15 seconds to load one thing. *edit: literally took 10 seconds from the time I pressed the post button to the time it finally posted the comment. Here it goes again....

The website was having some kind of connectivity issue yesterday too. Ultimately, the app will be effected because it uses Web APIs to communicate with Destiny servers. Likely, Bungie was experiencing some kind of web outage yesterday either due to a hardware issue, routing issue or even a DOS attack. Who knows. It may stabilize, if a typical web outage. If it doesn't stabilize, it could be related to some new deployed feature to the services or app that isn't ready for primetime, e.g. something new in prep for Beyond Light perhaps.

Dim works even better than before now. Not sure of the other apps because once I started using dim I stopped using everything else

Yep. U.S. east coast and every afternoon the app comes to a halt. Just spins. That being said, the only thing they said would be faster is transferring things on the app. Not being able to load the page to get to what you want is another thing all together.
