I don't believe that tethering 25+ enemies should cap out super energy returns to only 50-55%.
Tethering 5-10 enemies should not refresh your super... but Tethering 25 enemies should.
Change my mind
Here is another look at the same issue, lots of ads tethered, less super energy than what should be granted

2 RepliesIt used to be the best exotic there was.. but... it was too much fun so it got luked
-
Most of the awesome exotics got "Luked". Just to drag out boss fights?
-
1 ReplyI’m sorry but you’re not allowed to feel powerful in a space power fantasy
-
Yeah this game really sucks.
-
5 RepliesThat's cute. Go try using a SoDA and tell me how bad you have it 🙄

The nerf is overkill. I admit, y1 rig's power was...excessive, but after it's first nerf it felt more reasonable, well-fitted with its function. Maybe tweak it a little more so that it needed just a few more enemies to gain your whole super back, but this whole "50% and no more" function seems more like a big f-you to nightstalkers than anything. Hell, bungie could have made them refill up to 75% and still maintain the exotic's function without it getting out of hand but at 50% they almost feel like a detriment rather than a perk. I do hope Orpheus Rig gets a buff soon, they've been hated on a bit too harshly.

3 RepliesHow bro? Hunters always crying about something. "my super is not this.. I cant do this.. just enjoy your over powered super
-
4 RepliesYou guys don't deserve it until warlocks get phoenix protocol back, either one is stupid strong pre neef and I loved them.
-
2 RepliesNot only do I think the nerf is justified but I think Phoenix Protocol should be nerfed. Getting 80% of super while in Well is absurd and just breaks the game.
-
2 RepliesEdited by TJ_Dot: 9/2/2020 7:39:35 PMBungie ultimately decides how much these kinds of things are by how encounters are designed. Reckoning was a garbage excuse because the only reason super exotics were broken was because of the Shadow Thrall and mass cluster spawns you can race to immediately super. Anytime there isn't a giant crowd of people spawning in a cluster, BEGGING to be spawn tethered, Orpheus is far from busted. It isn't ever a great fight design to have your ads be all hugging each other as if they were wishing for death over and over. The bottom line, encounter design dictates the exotics used. Have a problem with one because it "trivializes" things? DON'T feed it an all you can eat buffet.

3 RepliesIt's not just how many it's also the type of enemies. They made it better against majors and bosses but weaker for trash mobs. I think overall though it is more consistent. And 30-50% is still significant super return for simply using your super.
-
It was too strong before. And getting up to 50% of your super back after each use is still a good trade off. You tether a group and have a friend pop their super and boom you're back to full super to tether again

4 RepliesOrpheus is now a bottom tree boss DPS exotic fyi.
-
1 ReplyHello, skull of the dire ahamkara?! Did you forget about it?
-
Switch to Dragons Shadow...changed my life. Well not really, but...its good.
-
Loved em prior to foresaken -- Returned to the game and now they are useless -- I remember doing the EOW raid and having a good hunter with you -- there would be orbs everywhere on the boss phase … did it once I returned to the game and it was useless. Very sad
-
Compared to Ursa and Pheonix, yeah. It's weak.
-
1 ReplyWho cares how many trash mobs can be tethered and how often just shoot them with literally anything
-
15 RepliesAnd the nerf to Skull of Dire Ahamkara And the nerf to Phoenix Protocol And the nerf to Ursa Furiosa Y'know what? Pretty much ALL of the super regen exotics got pretty -blam!-in' shafted
-
It went from being used to being never used. And it was nerfed because of Gambit Prime which Bungie admitted was setup unfairly against players.
-
I don't get these nerfs. Why does the game want to make it harder for me to deal with trash mobs of enemies? That doesn't make the game more fun. It never does.
-
1 ReplySee the ‘problem’ with orpheus rigs is that unlike any other super generating exotic, you don’t have to kill your source to get your super back. You can tether that exact same 25 mobs over and over to keep getting super energy, versus skull for example where you completely obliterate everything you’re using to earn your super, and if you don’t destroy them then you just don’t get super energy. And there are too many mob rush encounters to really say that having that many enemies at one time is an incredibly rare occurrence

5 RepliesWavesplitter Lore: ”Q: Can the Wavesplitter be used as a musical instrument? A: The Wavesplitter was not designed to be a musical instrument. That said, we at Omolon are in the business of giving Guardians options, not taking them away.” If only Bungie followed the same philosophy.

8 RepliesAnother reason I stopped playing. No point in enjoying anything as it won’t last long.
-
Almost every nerf Bungie does is overdone. They seem dead set on just annihilating everything good.

10 RepliesEdited by R2SABOL: 9/2/2020 8:16:29 PMIf it doesn't affect PVP, who cares. Let us feel powerful.
