When we will meet the man with the golden gun??
Bungie PLEASE, when will we meet Shin Malphur? Warlocks have Osiris, titans have Saint-14, and hunters have a dead Cayde-6. Now I'm not asking for a new vendor/vanguard but I want to meet our class legend, the man that every hunter has heard about. Despite not meeting him this far or having really any kind of interaction with him other than the letters we got from him during the last word quest and listening to his interaction with Callum Sol before killing him during the Malfeasance quest; he is my favorite character and from what we know of Shin so far these next few expansions would be perfect to meet him (Mainly Witch Queen). Maybe its highly unlikely we'd meet him on Europa but The Witch Queen and Lightfall would be perfect (again, mainly Witch Queen)! Because if it involves the hive and Savathun I know Shin would want a piece of the action since the hive are responsible for creating the weapons of sorrow, and Lightfall well because its about the darkness and seeing as how the darkness has already began invading other planets I feel as though followers / members of the shadows of yor would try to find a way to communicate with the darkness and gain more power or something along those lines.
All in all, bungie PLEASE put Shin Malphur in the game. Out of everything that is my biggest wish from you Bungie.

1 ReplyI want them to bring in Shin Malphur in a proper expansion. The whole Dredgen Yor abd Shin Malphur story is one of the best in Destiny so they need to introduce the character properly. Honestly I wish Osiris got a better introduction too. Saints 14’s was good but I still wish there was more.

To meet Shin Malphur is to cross the line and face the consequences. Shin exists as a contingency. To kill the most powerful Guardians when they become weapons for our enemies. If we meet Shin, then we have strayed from our destiny.

1 ReplyHey, today bungie Quoted “Hunters are the best so we saved the best for las”. In there update for stasis. Maybe since osris came first, and saint-14 second. Maybe they are yet again saving the best for last at some point. Just a theory... a game theory. But don’t be discouraged by people saying it won’t happen. You never know ;)

2 RepliesUnfortunately we probably never will. They wrapped up his story in the ‘lore’ around Lumina. He’s been sidelined so that our Guardians can seem cooler, when in actuality they wasted the perfect opportunity to put one of the best figures from the lore into the actual game. But who knows, they may pull his name out when they’re rifling through their hat of ideas to try to justify the price tag of a throwaway season. Let’s just hope that if they do he ends up like Saint/Toland and gets done right. Not wasted like Osiris/Ana/Rasputin.

4 RepliesLiterally almost every dlc or season has been focused around hunters. Warmind, forsaken, shadowkeep, half of season of the worthy, and arrivals (Eris was a hunter). Stop being so greedy. Titans didn’t get a main character-arc until Dawn, and warlocks only got Curse. Tl;dr: hunters already are the main characters in the story and Shin Malphur is not needed.

"Light alone cannot stop the Darkness" Shin used the golden gun, with a Darkness Bullet. Shin has been looking for a guardian that could Drift and not give in to the dark. Like I said, his story is done.

You know what would be nice. We get stasis and he comes out his gunship with his golden gun and is all Chuck Norris like tells you dont you drift too far says some one liners here and there and just dissapears, that would be enough for me just saying

1 ReplyHate to tell you, but we won’t ever meet Shin as confirmed by the lore books. Him passing on the Last Word has basically as close as you’re gonna get to actually meeting him.

Our legends drift around, not wanting the attention or fame. But maybe they could do one cutscene where we have a drink with him in some rundown bar.
