15 fast travels and MAYBE 3 people on Io in the seasonal event area.
It's almost as if 1 public event and 1 story mission every week isn't content that draws and retains players. If only there was an entire season before this one that made that extremely obvious. Hmmmm too bad
Edit: you fanbois don't need to keep posting awfully low daily overall numbers that Bungie supplies. It doesn't help your counterargument at all. There's a reason they stopped 3rd party tracking when d2 came out - they gave numbers that were too representative of the actual environment. Less than 1m isn't good, not even okay, especially when you stop ignoring that 25-35% of those numbers are burner recovery accounts.

If the game sucks so much why do you still play it babe?
-
I don't get why anyone would keep fast travelling instead of starting the event themselves? Starting it yourself keeps your instance alive on the servers and allows other players to join you. It was the same with the seraph towers.

4 RepliesOP’s Gamer Schedule 😎 9 AM: I harass dmg_04. 10 AM: I harass Cozmo 11 AM: I get my chicken fingers from Political Fil-A. Well, my Mom gets them as they are my favorite restaurant, I just wish they would get rid of the politics word in the restaurant title. 12 PM: I main Hunter on Destiny 2, and carry my team. They somehow still lose, and I send each of them messages to shame them. Each message about two paragraphs in length. Did I mention I’m a writer? 1 PM: I send threats towards the creators of Destiny 2. And wish Luke Smith would die already if he’s not going to finish the books. 2 PM: I like and retweet J.K. Rowling’s new tweets. She’s becoming surprisingly unpolitical lately, a great redemption arc. 3 PM: I go on Bungie forums 4 PM: I go on Bungie forums 5 PM: I eat at Cracker Barrel. 6 PM: I continue writing my novel on how Star Wars episodes 7-9 should’ve gone. I make sure to describe every female character by her breasts first and personality second. Every fight scene with women has the phrase, “He thrusted his sword at her.” 7 PM: I watch Joss Whedon’s filmography to figure out how to continue writing my female characters. 8 PM: I play Destiny 2 for 10 minutes. I complain about playing League for 50 minutes. 9 PM: I flood the forums asking, “I think BlackLivesMatter is not a good phrase. I understand what it means but it sounds insensitive. I think AllLivesMatter is better. Does that make me a bad person?” I immediately downvote anyone who calls me a bad person because I am not a bad person. 10 PM: I game, and I sleep.

1 ReplyNext season has ice though

Meh, I haven’t had that issue outside of Patrol. Patrol is boring. Most people do 2 runs of Heroic per week then leave. And that’s not even most people... Basically my point is: Patrol is boring and most people hate it, so of course it’s gonna be dead.

9 RepliesIt’s almost as if people are waiting for the expansion Who would have thought, right?

10 RepliesEdited by aequus: 9/2/2020 3:07:17 AMI've gone through 4 different clans.. All active and booming at some point all to just wither and die with me usually the last one left. The average player doesn't play this game long term, they have fun for a bit, get tired of the mindless grind, the shitty loot incentives, the buggy game play etc and leave for good. Others like me have stuck aroiund because we've been playing this game forever, we WANT to like it. Ive decided to take a break and hope things change a little bit with this next DLC.. If not I think i've had about all I can take with this game atm. Seriously, this is probably the worst stretch of destiny since y1 d2.. Possibly worse.

1 ReplyIt's almost as if there's nothing to do until the next expansion launches in a few weeks 🤔

9 RepliesD2 Population: September 02 Overall: 860K PvE: 774K Crucible: 367K Gambit: 192K Raids: 113K 🤡

The same thing I said last season. Start the event, accept you might fail a couple times, and you will sooner or later have enough people to complete. If everyone is fast traveling to try and find people then no one will find people.
-
6 RepliesDepends on who you ask. Any sane person who isn’t riding bungie will tell you yes it’s dying. People who do ride bungie will tell you nah because there excuse is because pvp is fun. So it just depends.

Lol no its not
-
No, I disagree. D2 isn't dead ... it's undead!

6 RepliesMaybe try ball duping ( •_•)

1 ReplyNot really dead Towers? Full. Strikes? Quick matchmaking. Crucible/Gambit? Same thing. Patrols? -blam!-in barren wasteland.

That's strange. I seem to magnetically draw in everyone who doesn't know how to do the Knight Bros. They kite that sucker to Oz and back while we're stuck here trying to finish it.
-
1 ReplyIts because the game is a steaming pile of poop
-
12 RepliesHaha it's not dead.....far from it! D2 will keep rolling until bungie pulls the plug.
-
I have had zero issues doing things in the game. Im on xbox and i play at all different times of the day. Maybe bad luck?
-
Games not really dead, 860k logins September 2nd - just no one cares about doing that stupid mission every week
-
14 RepliesFun fact: Only because the destination matchmaking only matches you with 2-3 people it doesn't mean that there aren't more.
-
1 ReplyI don’t think people actually know the meaning of “dead”
-
1 ReplyThe sad thing is it’ll be a long time before the game dies. The past year has been like watching some brain dead vegetable that nobody will pull the plug on. Luke smith will eventually extract all the life out of the franchise until it becomes a zombie. Activision was a rat jumping from a sinking ship.

to be fair, when the content was designed, we'd be like 1 week out from Beyond light dropping. What I'm saying is, end of the season - where this is normally where we'd be about now - is the lull. People either are last minute grinding or taking a break before the new season. Blame the extra few months they added; we'll have a spike again when the exotic sidearm finally gets dropped.

1 ReplyIts almost like were on the verge of a fall dlc and theres nothing to do rn.
