Earlier today I was in a trials match. The enemy team was oddly hitting great headshots on extremely high weeklys. But on the last round 4-4 flawless game som dude had heavy and ammo and teleported onto us. Never seen this before on console. He had cross save enabled tho leading me to believe he was in fact cheating since the start

7 RepliesThe Cronus zen apparently does have aimbot.
-
It’s kinda odd but I’m seeing it more often in Gambit than anywhere else.
-
Is very rare. I play on both pc and console. Have never seen cheating on ps4. It’s common now on pc.
-
1 ReplyI haven't seen aimbots on ps4 yet but we do have a jitter mod problem. Gotta love when people pull out the Last Hope or any sidearm for that matter and mag dump the whole thing in .0002 seconds. I've even sent Bungie videos of this happening as recently as this past Tuesday and the mod who responded to me on Twitter was like, "that's not natural" lol

3 RepliesCheating as a whole seems to have increased, not only is Destiny, but in many other games right now. On console, it seems that cheating has either become easier or just finally doable. I seen more this past month than the last few years
-
Can you maybe press the record button on your console so we can get documentation of this happening. Footage goes much further than words can

59 RepliesJust some quick notes here. Hitting great headshots can be due to player skill, or by using kbm on console. Kbm is usually what it is with some players in upper level play on console, so anywhere near the end of a card is going to be like that. Now, with that out of the way, we need to look at a few things here.
You were not on your flawless game So it seems odd you would claim it was a 4-4 flawless game, because it wasnt. You didnt lose to a single 4-4 match Again, seems odd you would claim you did when you did not. And lastly There are no hackers on console This is something i will always stand by, as in all my time playing this game i have yet to encounter a single player using anything close to hacks. The closest has been lag switchers, and even then they can be out played granted you have the skill to do so.
If you are going to make baseless claims, at least try to make it somewhat believable.

Edited by WHISKEYJ0HNNY0: 9/3/2020 5:16:33 AMThere are cheats “hackers” on console. Anyone who denies that I highly suspect of either cheating, willful ignorance and/or running or uses a carry/recov business. It’s nowhere near as common as it is on PC but it does exist. If you have a console, a PC , specialized software and know-how it can be done. There is even hardware that exists now for console to assist with that. I don’t condone it. Be careful however of making accusations without proof - especially in this forum. You have to account factors that effect your gameplay like yours and your competition’s connection and hardware. Skill level. Also, there are people that exist in PvP that are just simply amazing at it. There are people in PvP that are amazing and use controller mods that are sometimes hard to detect. There are people that suck that use an excessive amount of controller mods that are easy to detect. Are controller mods cheats? That’s a whole other debate and depends on the mod. God mode, denial of service, controlled teleporting, clipping, rapid fire controller mod to me are definitely cheats and are being done on console. Record your match, submit reports and upload the vid on YouTube. Complaining on the forum is only going to get you flamed and the post buried. For now if you want to continue in the Crucible you just have to grin and bear it. Bungie isn’t spending a lot of resources to stop or prevent cheating especially on console now that they have to worry about the PC world. If you want justice then become a popular Youtuber/Streamer and use your influence- good luck with that. What I do is put on Spotify, open a beer and try to have a good time.
It’s just code. You control it or it controls you
8 RepliesIt's via cheat proxy server. Kind on man in the middle attack but in this case the sh1tty p2p game architecture allows the man in the middle to be your cheat server. It is common now and console is same as PC as you don't need a software running on client to cheat. Consider this fact, the heavy ammo count mobility, super charge level, health bar is just a number on your machine... that's how easy the hacks are.

2 RepliesWhen will people realise that others can see game history when it comes to these posts
-
if you think someone is cheating use the in game report feature then sit and watch nothing happen as you track them on destiny tracker and see that they continue to play for months :)
-
6 RepliesI've been hit with Wardcliff 20 seconds into a standard control match and have been shot through multiple walls & corners several times so I get a kick everytime someone tries to say there's no cheating on console.
-
2 RepliesIf you suspect someone of cheating use the in game report system or the report form found on Bungie.net to inform Bungie.
-
Vids or it didn’t happen.
-
2 Replies"I lost, therefore someone else cheated" - pvp players everywhere

He had cross save enabled tho leading me to believe he was in fact cheating since the start
What does cross save have to do with it?
-
3 RepliesI knew how much cheating was in the game before they allowed cross play so thankfully I never activated it. I hope you reported him.
-
If you think enabling cross save let’s you bring hacks over, I’m inclined to think you’re making half of this up and you just faced a really good player
-
Cross save doesn't work like that. They would have to of had the cheats on the platform they were cheating on.
-
This is my problem with cheating. People start scapegoating them. Especially as somewhere as unlikely as console. Just because things didnt go your way doesnt mean they are cheating. Theres not as many cheaters as people make it out to be, people just lose.

Edited by WHISKEYJ0HNNY0: 9/2/2020 4:40:18 AMIt’s a thing. It’s been a thing since the beginning. It’s not as bad as PC is right now and probably won’t ever be. If you want to compete seriously in Destiny (on console)then practice, practice, practice and get every undetectable controller mod you can afford.
avoid Scuff
-
Many, many ways to cheat on console. All supposedly undetectable since they don't alter hardware or software but through the controller port. It just costs a-lot more than it does for PC. Also it is a-lot less prevailent. It is what it is, it'll never go away in any online game. Best just chalk it off and not worry about it. File your complaint to the reporting system and move on. Sad but best thing to do. By the time Bungie or any company sorts it out, the cheating will have evovled. Too much $$$ in it.

Ive been shot thru walls that im legit sitting behind by a sniper that has no business shooting me from the angle he did. Ive been hit by grenades across the map that are mostly enclosed and i rematch the feed to see if they just died prior to setting the grenade and its a big fat no. Ive also had supers happen within 20 secs of a match...
-
It’s rare to see anything more than lag switching but it does happen.
-
Cross save doesn’t work like that. But next time record it.

Edited by Sweet Lew 88: 9/2/2020 12:00:15 AMCross save should not effect the game. I have not run into cheaters that I can tell on console, 4000+ games played, just laggy ones sometimes, and a few DDOS attacks. Just report them and move on.
