I've used this exotic light grenade launcher enough to know that it's basically an inferior truth teller that is really only distinguished by its use of primary ammo. In crucible you can hit someone directly at point blank range and it still won't kill them. It needs either a damage buff and/or have some proximity detection grenades. Really the only reason most people pick this exotic up nowadays is to try to get grenade launcher kills for mountaintop. P.S. People apparently get triggered when I suggest buffing a grenade launcher, so let me make a few points very clear. This weapon is an Exotic, IT SHOULD FEEL POWERFUL. I'm not suggesting turning it into a moutaintop clone (mountaintop stands out for a reason, one of which being that it travels very fast in a straight line unlike any other grenade launcher). Right now in order to reap the full benefit of this weapon's "weakening" capacities you have to get a direct hit which on a bouncing grenade (which by the way shouldn't even be considered an exotic perk as other grenade launchers like truthteller do the exact same thing) is pretty difficult to do, especially in PVP. In my own experience a truthteller with disruption break can weaken targets much more reliably, which considering that truthteller is a legendary is sad. So in the end we have a weapon that is supposed to be exotic that basically does what a legendary weapon can do just as good and has to be assisted by a primary or heavy to really do any efficient killing. Mountaintop is going to be sunsetted soon and while many people including myself will be relieved to see it go it does leave handheld grenade launchers as a weapon type in an awkward situation. That's why the fighting lion should be given some more love so that it can pick up where mountaintop left off, albeit in a less overpowering way. People shouldn't let their feelings for mountaintop get in the way.
