Banned Permanently
Hey fellow guardians! So.. a couple of weeks ago I got permabanned for use of cheats in game. It was honestly a mistake on my part, messing around with cheat engine to alter the ammo values on an AR (I didn't expect it to work, nor that I would get hit by the 300k Banhammer). I was just wondering how long ban appeal revisions usually take, and if there's even a glint of hope on getting a second chance. I'd like both insights from Bungie and Mentors as well as the playerbase.

1 Reply[quote]and if there's even a glint of hope on getting a second chance.[/quote] not on this account, nope. the issue is, [b]IF[/b] it had worked, would it have stopped there? you can argue until you are blue and/or red in the face that yes, it would have, but we have seen far too many cases where it doesn't. best just to slink away and avoid any further embarrassment. either roll a new account and pay for everything again and try to be a more upstanding honest player or find something else to play.

You deserve the ban... bungie undoubtedly will NOT reverse their decision to remove you from the game. Good riddance.

The person at Bungie HQ reviews it. And they decide if it was warranted or not. Intentionally or not your account broke the rules. Ignorance doesn't exempt you from them. Your account is done. Here's some examples of the other 380+ people who "did nothing wrong" that the BNGSecurity account replied to. https://www.bungie.net/en/Profile/BungieActivity/254/21102603/BNGSecurity They have absolutely no obligations to reply to this post or your appeal form. If you submit an appeal and don't get a response in 5 days time then consider the BAN upheld. I suggest you start over or move on.
