A TWAB stated this was resolved almost a month ago but based on the fact my name is still censored for no apparent reason I'd have to disagree. The name is supposed to be W7F-Hux, and has been for a long time, but the W7F part now shows as *'s. Not sure I understand why it was even censored in the first place. I've looked everywhere on how to fix this but there's nothing helpful on Bungie's site regarding this issue. Lastly, it's only censored in Destiny, not on Steam or any other steam game...only Destiny.

Edited by ADragonWithin: 8/25/2020 1:07:37 PMAny name censoring in-game is due to Valve's setting blacklist through Steam in conjunction with Destiny 2's age rating. Steam updated their blacklist checking a while ago (and it caused a major Censored Name issue in a few games, Destiny 2 included). They eventually pushed through another update to make it a little less aggressive in its detection but there are some names that may still poke their blacklist. Unfortunately, if your name is censored in-game, there's nothing Bungie can do for you. If you try to contact Steam about it, they will probably push you back here, even though it's their system causing the issue (they did this a lot back when they pushed the update that broke it for a lot of people, so it's an educated guess they'd do it again). So, with the above, you can contact Steam Support to ask about it, but if they say they can't do anything about it, then your only option is to change your name yourself to something that isn't censored.
