Title.
I don’t see how this fits within their logic...these items aren’t associated with the new rule of thumb that everything and it’s content goes with it...won’t the forges and raid be literally in the same area as the new content??
Bungie can’t seem to stay consistent with their excuses.

i care less about the forges going away and more about the raid content going away, its absolutely my favorite raid mechanics and gameplay wise, and i hate that their removing the riad and not the god damn planet, like if youre removing scourge get rid of the farm
-
4 RepliesSo uhmmm WHY IS THE FARM NOT BEING VAULTED? Seriously there will be no point in having it around and no one ever goes there. Get rid of the Farm (not just vaulting but straight deleting) and then double the size of the Postmaster!
-
1 ReplyThe forges aren’t played and the raid isn’t in the EDZ. Just because it’s on earth doesn’t mean the whole planet and all destinations are loaded at the same time. Scourge is it’s own separate area.
-
1 ReplyBungie is incapable of maintaining all parts with the blender and microwave that is supporting their game. They refuse to upgrade.
-
Nobody does forges lmao
-
Can we keep just 2 forges then? Please keep Scourge.
-
1 ReplyAnything tied to the Red War is being Vaulted. Why? Because parts of the Red War campaign are being Vaulted, so instead of patching those specific story holes with cutscenes, Bungie is simply removing everything tied to the Red War and redoing the Cosmodrome intro that they started with Forsaken (OT was it Shadowkeep?). It seems like more work than it should be, and shafts the playerbase even more than necessary.
-
While I agree on scourge not being vaulted. I think Ada and the forges should go away. And when they leave, we need a catalyst for le monarque
-
11 RepliesHave you been to Ada lately? Every time I go in there I am usually the only one. Maybe there is one other person. And I’m pretty sure forges have a significantly reduced population, especially after they started the weekly rotation. Black armory has been around for a while and it’s a neatly encapsulated one-off. Easy target when Bungie is looking for activities to Vault.
-
38 Repliesto add to the question..... why do we care now? These things have been around for over 18 months. Why do we only care about content that we haven't been doing (hence why they're getting dcv'd), but we kick up a storm when we find out we can't have our unplayed content anymore. Please enlighten me, I am willing to listen.
-
3 RepliesSo I can get le monarque without playing forge(:
-
They're cutting out as much free-to-play content as possible, and that just so happens to include Forges.
-
Destiny is a game with an ever evolving back story and progression. The forges are irrelevant content now with no meaning to the story or gameplay. The world within destiny is moving on, so should you.
-
I’d highly suggest moving on and playing other games, they don’t care about the core player base so don’t give them anymore time or money.
-
because we find chances to benefit from it. they gonna put a stop to that.
-
Because Bungie.
-
Maybe bungies logic is that since the izanagis masterwork activity is going away (menagerie) then the activities built around izanagi needs to go as well? It makes no sense but thats what bungies “logic” actually is.
-
3 Repliestwo forges are on nessus
-
1 ReplyAre all forges on earth though?
-
They are basically removing content to add new/refreshed content plain and simple. Problem is they always try to tie everything that happens in the real world to the lore and storylore
-
Because both of those places are not part of where d1 takes place and the farm was
-
1 Replybecause bungo loves getting their players angry as -blam!-
-
The logic behind the DCV is that they are vaulting content that is rarely played, or is disliked. Forges aren't played that much anymore. People usually never play scourge again after they get their Anarchy. However, this logic is flawed. Content can still be good, people just don't have a reason to play it anymore. That doesn't mean new players won't come along and give this fun content a try. The fact that Zero Hour and the Whisper Mission (BOTH things that people really loved) are being vaulted is really silly to me. Imagine introducing your friend to the game and them noticing the two really good DPS weapons you have. "Oh yeah dude! You had to do this super secret mission to get these. It was challenging and a lot of fun!". To which they respond "Awesome! Let's go get them!". Sorry. DCV. I understand a lot of what is being vaulted. Especially forges. But the secret missions? Why?

SoTP might just be my favorite raid in the game. I just love the setting and Mech Boss at the end I forget it's name now. It's super bogus they are taking it from us. Just my take.
-
Just a guess, but may be swapping out D2 Earth with modified Earth from D1 with farm added in.
-
Duh.... so they can resell it to us later when they run out of content, because “making content is hard”
