When people think the answer to warlocks buggy and weak grenades is "Hold the grenade to convert it into something else or overcharge it so its not useless" you know that every option is trash.

40 RepliesEdited by TheArtist: 8/20/2020 11:29:47 AMAll the grenades in Destiny 2 have been nerfed from what they were in Destiny 1. They were all nerfed to reduce the impact of abiltiies on PvP, and to try to make that PvP more "competitive"....and the Hunter ability to break tracking was part of the favoritism that the Sandbox and Weapons teams showed to Hunters as a class. (Many of them admitted in interviews that they personally played as Hunters, were PvP focused, and Hunters were their favorite class.) This game is never going to be an e-sport, and all the grenades in the game need a rework.

Sshhhh you’re going to trigger half the playerbase calling out hunter trash like that. 😈

9 Replies*slowly sidesteps it* Somebody drop this? Anybody?
-
8 RepliesJust use another nade , do you think everybody has all great nades ? Have you tried void wall? Skips? Tripmine ? Skips do no damage, void wall aoe is so easily avoidable, tripmine are so slow u can just outrun them. Just use vortex like a normal guardian
-
It is meant to track it does good damage if it hits and it makes you constantly move
-
Idk about that one chief. I only use axiom on my warlock and it’s really nice. If you take it with too tree in pve it’s honestly ridiculous
-
7 RepliesBoth Axion and scatter are hot trash even when supercharged.
-
Revert Axion Bolt back to the D1 Axion Bolt D2 Axion Bolt are hot garbage juice.
-
7 RepliesVoidwalkers certainly got the short end of the stick for their grenade game. Remember when Scatter Grenades would just bounce around and do nothing?
-
You can slide under most of the damage as well.
-
Hunter dodge breaks any tracking. All bolt grenades are tracking.
-
Hunter favoritism sucks. Skip grenade gets to stay almost exactly the same as how it was in D1, but Grape gets damage nerf and tracking nerf.
-
Grapes got nerfed from d1 . I still always use them in pvp , they still fit the purpose of making campers move from their camp spots .
-
Icarus dash breaks tracking

3 RepliesFire bolt is actually not great, it has no range, terrible tracking and the damage is terrible. There is a reason a warlock main uses the regular solar grenades over the other 2.
-
1 ReplyEdited by AdligerAdler: 8/20/2020 5:34:45 PMI wouldn't say great. But yes Axion is bad, even charged.
Can I have Sunsinger uh Dawnblade fusion nade one hit killing again please?
-
2 RepliesUse top tree nova bomb and hold down the button then let it go i get around 2-4 people with it
-
1 ReplyAs a hunter main, I can vouch for an axion dart buff, but remember, we can dodge out of all bolt grenades too with the right timing, so in all honestly, it wouldn't change too much against players who know this. You'll probably catch some off guard, but it'll take more than a grenade buff for it to work
-
8 Repliessomeone doesn’t play top tree
-
2 RepliesTrue they can dodge away axion and all bolt grenades for that matter. But a nice thing about them is you can definitely use them to push. A lot of players get busy avoiding them giving you some opportunity. They’re great against non hunters.
-
The speed of the axion bolts needs to match that of the fire bolt grenades and do the same amount of damage uncharged, charged bolts should be somewhere around 140 or 150 damage. Scatter grenades should be fixed so that they don't bounce (don't know why this is still an existing issue). Scatter grenades should have the tracking built-in to the projectiles regardless of whether they are charged or not, charged scatters should increase the blast radius of projectiles and give them a small damage bump.

7 RepliesEdited by Davie4: 8/20/2020 1:49:26 PMSo what you are saying is axiom bolt needs to become void bolt and just immediately arc to targets and move on. Probably valid. It has never been particularly amazing even on d1 since you could run away from it, but it’s much worse on d2. I still miss when things like fusion grenades were one shot kills when people got stuck, but d2 pvp made odd balance decisions to appeal to someone and I’m definitely not the one it’s appealing to.

3 RepliesSomething I’ve been screaming into the ether about since the start of D2. I don’t want more damage; just better tracking and more speed. While a lot of people will tell you that grenades are not good all around it’s Voidwalkers who got the shaft the most for one reason: we have a subclass tree that charges the grenade to make it better. But it doesn’t. I’d be fine with the extra seeker if it actually worked properly.
-
I think axion is the only one of those three I have died to recently, certainly not firebolt
-
Welcome to being a Warlock. We have hole in all of our subclasses

1 ReplyI miss the days when Incendiary grenades would actually register a hit on someone. I have a feeling the blast radius of the grenade doesn’t match up with the explosion effect.
