I don't really care personally I just forget to equip the mods for them half the time.

1 ReplyThey do nothing but allow Bungie to control your loadout.
-
1 ReplyThey make PVE challenging, (theur annoying af, I know) if you have incompetent teammates this makes it way harder then they really are. Always make sure everyone in your fire team has at least 1 mod or boot em. Lol
-
2 RepliesI personally love the champions. Barriers are artificial sponges that pop a bubble and continue to shoot forcing you to deal with them. Hit it hard once it's sheild is knocked down. Unstoppables once they aquire you... Don't stop. And I love that, they are inevitable and will find you. Take them out quick. Overload essentially gives it health regen and some other smaller abilities. These are your main concern as they can kill you fast and make short work of your team. But... In my experience I have only have issues with champions when people ignore them and get killed and their ghost spammed with AoE. People who don't run the champion mods and expect you to be able to stun every one single handedly. People who know about the champions but can't win against them... So they come to the forums and complain about them ( not saying you) And of course... The PvP players in endgame PvE activities who see them, scream for help, die to them and say how everyone is trash because they pulled agro on a unstoppable ogre that ground pounded his ass. Other than that, I have no issue with them.

Abolish champions lol!
-
I think Champions are fine, but they need to tone down the stupid stomp mechanic. Also, all exotics should have inherent champion mods. Not all the same champions, but they all should have a mod of some kind.
-
I'm fine with Champions, they're a nice added mechanic. The issue is the tards who can't or won't set up to deal with them and put several magazines of a Gnawing Hunger into an Overload and can't figure out why it's not dying. I think Champions should be added to all patrol zones. Everything is a pushover and it's nice to bump into some mini-bosses and Champions on Titan and Io.
-
Haven't enjoyed their inclusion. Never anything interesting but always annoying.
-
1 ReplyChampions are fine. You should be forced to pass an equipment check when you queue into an Ordeal though. The amount of people just running into 1020s without the ability to deal with Champions is mind numbingly high. I like to watch them pump endless rounds into Barriers and Overloads to no avail. My personal favorite thing to see is Unstoppable Ogres just running through them like they're nothing. Beautiful.
-
I just don't care for how the mods are only for specific weapons that Bungie chooses for us. If WE could pick 3 from a pool of every weapon type, but only once per character, it would be a lot better.
-
2 RepliesWhoever invented overload taken hobgoblins should be stomped in the nuts repeatedly.
-
None of the above. They're great in concept, but man is it lame that the way to fight them is to just use the seasonal blue mod. I'd like a rework.
-
I'd prefer exotics be made.with the intent of fun and power rather than "what champion will this cover" but im open to see how it would play out. Champions and master and GM nightfalls are really the only good fun that game has. Nothing beats calling out moves and working thru a nightfall like a puzzle. Ny only gripe is it needs.tk be randomized each run. Like Diablo. You night get vex with 10 champions but you might also get cabal with 17 champions.
-
Just plain annoying, feeble attempt at increasing the difficulty lvl of content.
-
I don’t like anything that limits our ability to equip what we want. Champions are fine. What’s not fine is the mechanic that you have to equip certain types of weapons to be able to fight them. The grind to get the rolls we want is insane, then we finally get the gun we want with the roll we want, and to play pinnacle activities, we have to equip something we don’t like, and our equipment is locked. If you’re going to make the grind so tedious, then let us use the weapons we spent so much time trying to get.
-
1 ReplyI dont mind champions too much, what makes them annoying the most (looking at you barrier champions) is that they can shield, regenerate, and spam fire at the same time. Way too annoying while dealing with them solo.
-
Exotics should be unique from legendaries.. Start putting mods on them and they'll just become legendaries but with extra perks. Boring. Champions are boring, but I guess they're simple enough, rather than creating more challenging enemies. Lazy.
-
I think they have ran their course. It’s time to move on to something different or introduce less specific artifact mods.
-
1 ReplyThe champion mods should be intrinsic on the available weapon archetypes in the season artifact.for example All the Overload weapons were bows/handcannons, every exotic bow (Monarqe,Ghoul,WishEnder) would all have overload intrinsic for the season. I like what they did adding the armor mod making any pulse including exotics have unstoppable so it shows they are experimenting with exotics having champion mods. I believe it will be a thing in beyond light
-
1 ReplyHonestly got sick of them after season of undying,They are not fun and having mods tied to specific weapons and class abilities(void grenade for overload, solar melee for unstoppable) is annoying and stupid so I don't bother with the mods anymore.
-
1 ReplyAs long as you can not put champion mods on the weapon of your own choice which includes all types and also exos I'd say remove them cause they restrict the way you can play endgame way to much. Opinions may vary.
-
Champions should stay in Nightfalls for the most part. As long as they aren’t out in they aren’t put everywhere they’re great
-
2 RepliesChampions only purpose is artificial difficulty because our weapons are so dang powerful, but i like them none the less. having to communicate with your team to take one down makes it feel more like a challenge
-
1 ReplyChampions are great. Rather than having random enemies that just point and shoot you have a mechanic that makes them harder and more challenging. The problem is they need to make the different champion mods more accessable. This in leu of needing much better AI. Halo 2 had better AI
-
I can live with having to equip certain weapons and mods on them, but the internal cooldown on champion disruption has to go. Yesterday we literally had three people with overload rounds and arrows shooting a champ, and he simply regenerated before being stunned again. It's OK in Masters where you can 2-izi them especially with High-Energy Fire, but in GM you have to two-phase them and the timing is extremely tight on overloads. Barriers and unstops are OK, but overloads need to be toned down.
-
I got extremely annoyed with barrier colossus last night because as I was about to kill it it would full heal or launch me then full heal. I just wanted to use my bow that's going to be retired next season
-
They make every activity they're in unreasonably restrictive and a slog. It's the reason I don't play Ordeal Nightfalls.
