Bungie, FFS 3 1060 energy weapons today!?
3 gambit 1060 energy weapon
3 strikes 1060 energy weapon
4 crucible 1060 energy weapon
Master Nightmare Hunt 1060 heavy weapon (I have 8 of those now)
Thats 8 energy weapons to go with the 9 helmets I have at 1060.
I just need a chest piece ... 3 weeks now
When will this duplicate drop bs be addressed?

Once I read that light level is going up 200 or so (I think) in a few weeks I quit caring about being 1060. If it happens, great. If not, it really doesn't matter. Chasing level is fun early in a season, but as you get close to max, there isn't much in game benefit to getting that last 1 or 2 points

13 RepliesI have been working 4 weeks now to get a heavy 1060 and it just won't drop it for me. The RNG is this game is pure trash right now. Always has been, just significantly worse for me at the moment.

Never, they will never address it because Bungie does not want you to be 1060. They more repeat drops the better in their eyes. If you get 1060 you may stop playing. They can’t have that.

3 RepliesEdited by Seventh7of7: 8/20/2020 5:45:54 AMFrom what I have seemed to notice the +1 pinnacles from strikes, gambit and crucible never seem to drop what you need. It is more often than not in a slot you already have and don't need. Only the +2 pinnacles from dungeons raids etc that seem to be at a better RNG. I am convinced this is not by mistake or chance and is on purpose. More people play these activities and as we all know they want to delay the 1060 as long as possible. The RNG for the +1 is rigged.

8 RepliesIt’ll never be addressed. Every day you sign in to do activities you’re falling further and further in to the trap to extend your play time. It’s a rigged race to keep to u playing longer so you’re more likely to spend that £/$ in everworse.

2 RepliesEdited by AendettV: 8/19/2020 5:59:37 PMIf you search Google for "random number generator" then change the Max number to 8 (the available number of slots on your character), then hit "Generate" each time a pinnacle drops, it will not give you the same number as often as D2's RNG gives you the same drop. I don't know if Bungie's system just picks 1 item randomly from the whole pool, or it it first chooses a slot, then picks again from that pool, but it SHOULD be the latter to give you the most fair chance at even reward distribution. That's assuming Bungie doesn't have any other extra measures in there that I'm not accounting for.

2 RepliesI'm stuck because energy weapon after energy weapon, my highest heavy weapon is 1053 ffs and it's giving me 1057 energy weapons for almost every single pinnacle. The pit gives me the same slot for each character every single week. Pinnacle rng is not random, its designed to slow you down. What happened to all the improvements learnt in D1? You could chose between weapon, armour or that other set i can't remember what it was but my point is that was a great way to narrow your loot pool without making any one thing reliably farmabe so it wasn't gamebreaking and it wasn't banging your head against a wall either. So many great improvements in D1 were dropped, i really wish they just kept building on D1 instead of throwing it all away and making D2. The Red War destroyed not only the tower but the whole game along with it. Yes D2 has improved since launch but so many bad decisions just keep holding it back, pinnacle rng is just 1 of them.

I just stop playing weeks ago after my pinnacle dropped at the slot that the highest LL on my character. I already smell fake RNG cheater.. Why play?

Bottom line is that everyone else in our group had 3 or more each, while I had zero. Finally got it. Thousand voices. I open my first chest from my first completion ever, and get it. The RNG sucks sometimes. And it’s at its worst when prolonged grinding becomes focused on just one drop. It’s a bad system.
