All of the master work and invest only matters if your engage then "grandmaster" or "pinnacle" content and only if you are 1%. If you engage the game socially no none of that matters. Even for raiding and crucible. Unfortunately there is no engaging some of that content unless you are going to invest in builds and loadouts and maximizing Orb generation or builds for that highest end content. The game needs a serious sandbox, gear and power overhaul. I'm content to run and enjoy the middling content and crucible. I have no incentive to invest further.

It helps in end game. And before ANYONE replies to me, I have a little bit of masterworked armor, I’m just not wearing it. In endgame, every little bit helps.

It comes in clutch when I need those 2 extra stat points to get to the next level.
