The problem is that blocking damage uses sword energy. So you lose damage to gain damage. Overall you lose more than you gain. By the time you've waited for the energy to recharge the perk timer has run out. So you've stood in open fire waiting for no reason or gain. ... The easiest fixes would be to either be: * increase the perk timer by a few seconds so it's definitely active when energy has recharged. or *increase the perk damage buff so that it deals more damage than a regular heavy attack even when energy isn't full. Maybe a fixed amount in comparison to normal heavy attack regardless of energy. ... Both of these will help the player actually use the perk. Because as it is currently it's extremely difficult to ever use as intended in active play.
