Changing gender and / or appearance
Hi!
I'm not sure if this should be marked as a question, or should be gameplay rather than feedback but here goes.
I was hoping that at some point us players in Destiny 2 could have the option to change their sex/gender
i know people have been asking a while for some kind of barber so they can change their hairstyles or appearance (maybe even get some styles from eververse eh?)
But being able to change your sex/gender would be extremely helpful towards the Transgender community, people such as myself who no longer wish to play with the character they originally created however long ago, but don't want to go through the process to delete or crate a new one and potentially lose progress

I'm here from the future to relay that a comparable feature hasn't happened yet. I don't know why, since a character's appearance has no impact on the game and the much of the coding is already present. The more options one gives the player, the higher their potential satisfaction. It's baffling. As an aside, it would be nice if there were more customization features, as I'm not a fan of any of the presets.

1 ReplyEdited by Shadow: 8/19/2020 7:08:14 AMJust make a new character to stereotypically look like a male or female. Vault everything first, done. Also progress doesn't really mean anything anymore. Don't need to do any missions at all. Everything unlocked in collections remains there.

3 RepliesProblem is that it would cost money, and Bungle doesn't have any. Try Saint's Row IV. You can change gender, body type, race, hair, tattoos, jewelry and clothes any time you like.

3 RepliesYour guardian stays the same, doesn't change at all. Doesn't age. Doesn't grow hair or beards. Because if you are ressed, you go back to what you were initially ressed as. So that shouldn't happen otherwise it'll mess with the lore that's currently being hinted at or built. It hasn't happened before and I'm the history of destiny, hasn't happened. So from a lot of points, it wouldn't work. That being said, if you could change your gender... Its going to create a lot of issues with players on both sides of their respective opinions. So personally, I hope they don't as it would mess with the universe they built up, as somehow you would be the first guardian to do so in a millenia. Doesn't make sense, but that's me.

This has been flagged and I think it was Deej or something mentioned that it’s in the works but nowhere near ready to be unveiled. No matter the reason for the need of an edit, it would be a welcome addition to the game.
