I would like there be pride flag emblems that anybody can earn or recieve in game for free.
Everyone should be able to show off their pride without having to feel like they have to spend money to show it off, while also making the emblems discernable from the other black lives matter emblem and rainbow flag emblem.
As a suggestion these earnable (or free) pride flag emblems would just be one of the many pride flags Say a trans flag, the emblem would have the trans flag colors as the background and the emblem picture would be the flag itself maybe.
The thing is adding every single pride flag would take time and resources but I feel like it will improve the Destiny community, because people who are trans, ace, aro, anything could see other people flying their flag colors and maybe that would make that person a little happier too.
I would love these emblems to be added so people can express themselves without having to buy a pin too.

6 RepliesDepends what flavor of the month it is in the media sadly. Everyone should feel pride no matter their skin colour, sexual preference, religion or identity. Or one of the many other aspects that makes us all unique I'd much rather see charity emblems and all purchases go to those charities like the heart ghost I heard about. To add a few to promote pride would unfortunately be bias to the rest.

Why though?

Edited by michael: 8/14/2020 5:07:17 PMDon’t really see why not. MCC had like 3 nameplates for each of both BLM and pride month. Doesn’t hurt anyone

3 RepliesEdited by Swiftlock: 8/14/2020 4:24:02 PMThere are about 15 LGBTQ+ flags with MANY variations on top of that. Bungie would have to print one for every single group. Not gonna happen.

5 RepliesI think it's cool to be proud of who you are, and having bought the pin myself, it's really nice to be able to support your fellow guardians as well.

13 RepliesI dunno. Im fine with the emblems being gained from irl purchases and such but I feel like things that are earned in-game should relate to the game.

3 RepliesNo, on the grounds of (ironically) inclusion. If they did do this, they would have to do the same for every other group out there (wether relating to sexual orientation, skin colour, race, religion, and those are just the ones I thought of off the top of my head) and they’d end up using all their resources just overloading the game with all these emblems and shaders for these groups. Much better to keep to in-game related groups and factions for these sort of things. Especially when the game is in such a poor condition, I’d rather they focus the resources on making the game into something I might actually want to play again.

to the people saying no: why not? 👀👄👀

1 ReplyEdited by Seth, Knower of Things: 8/14/2020 6:12:07 AMThe best I can think of is the “Lunar Memorium” emblem found from lost ghost fragments on the moon. But it’s not really pride related, just the closest to a rainbow you can find. Bungie sells those pins and emblems because the majority (if not all) of the revenue they generate go towards the causes they’re based on.
