Deactivating cross save with a un-authenticate steam account i don't have access too
so i have played cross play on a old steam account once that i no longer have access too. steam actually says is doesn't exist anymore. so im trying to deactivate cross save so i can unlink that steam account and link a new account. however i cant as i must authenticate that account before deactivate cross save. "Authenticate to Deactivate - In order to deactivate Cross Save, you must verify that these accounts are yours." i have authenticated my xbox account which is my main account. is there any way around this issue?

1 ReplyIf the account no longer exists and Steam is unable to reinstate it, it will be impossible to authenticate it in order to disable Cross Save and unlink it. You can contact Bungie to request help in deactivating it via the form in the following article, but there are no guarantees that they'll be able to help. Also note that if they do disable it for you, you will still not be able to unlink the account, in which case you'll have to move the accounts you can access to a different Bungie profile, which would result in losing any emblems you've redeemed on this one. https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Troubleshoot?oid=48099

You'll need to contact Steam concerning recovering the account if you wish to gain access to it to unlink it. You can however request that Bungie deactivates cross save by filling out the contact form below. If they choose to deactivate it, you will still have the account linked to your Bungie.net profile. You may also want to read through that article for more information on what actions can affect your Cross Save: https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Troubleshoot?oid=48099 Note: Bungie goes through these reports in order that they receive them, and only during normal business hours Pacific Time. If you still to reactivate cross save, you will need to wait 90 days until you can re-enable it again. You will have to create a new bungie.net account if you wish to play on your new Steam account. All emblems tied to your current bungie.net account will not carry over to your new one.
