Absolutely not going to bother with any of that for some ornaments that you then have to spend $15-20, per color of glow, I believe, just to get the ultimately desired effect. No thank you.
Still prefer my recommendation to actually make these events, especially end-of-the-year, actually fun with options for players. I'm not even sure but isn't it just for ornaments now? Is there actually armor this time? Or do you unlock the ornaments when you get to majestic? I have no idea, it's all such muddled garbage now.
It shouldn't be this tedious or difficult to get end-of-the-year armor. Who cares if it's a freebie set of 1050? It's the end of the year. And would anybody actually complain about having a second set of masterworked, 1050 gear for each of their characters? So the late-comers or super-casual players get a free masterworked set at the end of the year. Shouldn't matter. Regular and die-hard psychos get a second set. Or third or fourth...
Isn't the purpose of any of these events meant to be fun? Not sweaty. Not tedious. Not try-hard. Not second-job worthy. Why can't it be fun for SoH?

It's go do what you would be doing anyway. A redesign of the aerial edz would of been nice, so the event had something new instead of a copy paste of a previous solstice.

It really isn't. Everything is a specific step to make any progress on the gear. You would just normally be using Arc weapons to get the final blow in Crucible? That's just a naturally occurring thing that you do anytime you do PvP? My idea was make unlocking the Majestic version based solely on XP gains. Similar to how we used to upgrade armor in D1. You're essentially unlocking nodes simply by playing the game however you want. Then, when you go for the Masterwork variant, is when each piece has a specific thing the players must do to finish it. Even then, it should be simple and fun like Complete a Nightfall or Complete Ten Crucible Matches... Again, it's end-of-the-year so just let players have a freebie for fun.

I agree

Careful now I've been shut-down constantly for merely suggesting options for all players.....it really seems to upset the self centered elitists gets their incontinence panties in a bunch. I mean to have a game be inclusive for all of it's players is horrible right?

Edited by dalek2016: 8/11/2020 9:09:55 PMThe glows cost around $10 total, there is only one glow this year

Oh, I didn't know. I've only very loosely kept up with it because, again, I don't have a huge interest in it this year. First year? I grinded and paid, like an idiot, for all three characters. Second year? I don't think any piece became blue. XD
