At least in D1 you could earn 3 weekly cosmetic packs which always had something unique in them. Or at least bright dust so you could save to buy something unique... As they are now they might as well not exist
-
2 RepliesSurprised they are not tied to Solstice rewards almost expect a 'grind 100 heroic story missions in a day' quest step at this point....
-
For the experience
-
Why even do business with China if it's going to get me ban for saying Hong Kong should be free.
-
They used to give powerful gear if you did 3 but then bungie decided too many activities gave powerful gear and took that away along with all the year 2 sources.
-
9 RepliesYou guys still post stuff like that? It's Bungie's game, that should be enough explanation
-
I think they did that so that they can make Ikora Rey less relevant. It's almost like Bungie doesn't like her or something.
-
2 RepliesSo you can replay them?
-
1 ReplyYeah, I feel you. As months and years go by, Destiny feels more and more like a poorly made patchwork falling apart.
-
Its to add to the ever-growing collection of mundane meaningless content in the game
-
15 RepliesThey exist because there are triumphs attached to doing them. That’s the only reason. People found enough missions that could just be run through without actually fighting that giving a reward for it was undermined but it’s still needed for the triumphs so it’s still there.
-
I mean most of them are getting vaulted anyway soooooooooo
-
Why solo a raid for no loot? For fun and/ or challenge.
-
12 RepliesThey exist for fun... Why let the easiest things in the game have rewards?
-
Well they are disappearing next season.
-
Because yOu HaD tO bE tHeRe
-
If the game is too big, and they suck, remove them!
-
You are correct! This was brought up when this change first happened several seasons ago. Bungie does not thing these are important. C'est la vie
-
Because of money. Greedy motherfuvkers. Bungie just does not care anymore and it shows. And there is no sign of improvement. A shame as Destiny has so much promise, great gameplay but is a Fukushima reactor melting down.
-
12 RepliesTo be honest the loot streams in this game completely suck right now. I've been helping a family member get started and... 1) Vendors always give low light level stuff. 2) Story missions only give low-level stuff. 3) There is a bug that pinnacles only drop at +1 when you are between 1000 and 1010. 4) You get a bunch of seasonal drops that if you don't have the latest pass are always trash. Seems like you have to do bounties to get xp and level up. Seems like only the powerful rewards or pinnacle reward anything at all. It sucks that upgrade materials only are only acquired from grinding the NF over and over.

Relics of an archaic time of destiny.
-
Some people like playing the story missions at a different difficulty. Why do people continue to play raids after reaching max power and all the rolls they want? Cause it's fun.
-
2 RepliesI have always enjoyed doing the Story Missions because of the Story aspect. It's terrible that there isn't any realizable reward for doing them anymore. Also, it is rather telling that there isn't any Story Missions worth repeating since going to the Season model after Forsaken.
-
They’re there for replayability if you’re into that sort of thing. Some of the Cayde missions were fun, along with the one tank mission in the EDZ. The Io and Titan missions are incredibly tedious. Any of the main story bosses (and the main boss) are just bullet sponges as usual.
-
3 RepliesThey're only there because people moaned you can't replay the story. Honestly I never understood why anyone would want to. The story, for me at least, is just something you play through to get to the end game.
-
Edited by SeventhIy: 8/10/2020 5:27:41 PMIt’s a waste of time doing them. They want three for a piece of tier gear and each mission can take up to thirty minutes
-
1 ReplyThey were added in forsaken thus why their isnt any shadowkeep missions. They used to offer a weekly powerful up untill shadowkeep.
