Sorry if this is a redundant post, but I recently started wondering how the scores are calculated for a PVP match. Take the following match for example.

The scores just don't add up for either of the teams. Is there a formula that am not aware of here?

hmmm, thanks fellas. I think I'll leave the calculating to bungie and focus on enjoying the game :P

You get more points for holding more zones of course, but outside of that, final blows are what actually contribute to score. But your assists will show up under the defeats in the post game screen.

Kills aren't really kills. They are kills plus assists. Power play kills should be worth 3 points per kills or so. Advantage kills are worth 2 each I believe.

It's impossible to tell from the end-of-match summary, because the "Opponents Defeated" counts both kills and assists, and the team only gets 1 point for a capture, but all players on the zone at the capture gets a "capture' listed. You need to look at a site that shows a more detailed breakdown, but even then I've never seen one that shows actual team captures. Otherwise, though, a team gets 1 point for a capture, 1 for an enemy who dies while their health has been reduced by a player (regardless of how they die...misadventure, etc.)...this is a "kill". For any kill during the Hunt, there is a bonus 2 points. For any kill when a team holds more zones than the enemy but isn't the Hunt, there is a bonus 1 point.
