Why is Gambit still terrible?

Invading is WAY too easy. Invaders have the power to swing the match to the point of no return. I don't understand why they need wallhacks and an overshield. It's not hard to kill one guy, and a lot of the time one guy is all it takes to set the other team back to a big uphill battle. Now they have to build motes up again but by the time they've got enough for an invade there are 2 Taken Captains, a Taken Knight and another Invader coming through, and maybe a lil baby Hobgoblin shielding a Captain because THATS NECESSARY! You ask yourself "what is the point?". The mode in general is very defeating. It feels bad to play. It feels bad to lose and it doesn't feel great to win. Winning is more like.. "Glad that's over". Enemies in Gambit should all be weak except for the occasional high value target so that it isn't maximum stress all the time. Invaders should be weaker so that even killing one Guardian feels rewarding, and team wiping isn't so common. Invading shouldn't be something everyone does immediately when it's available... It should be an option for teams when they're falling behind. It should be more advantageous to keep killing ads for motes instead of invading... The only time it should be worth invading is when someone on your team dies and you need to try and delay the enemy team as well. Timing needs to be a bigger element. Invader should only get wallhacks for the enemy with the highest amount of motes so that the others can protect them without getting lasered by a Xeno from across the map, and to compensate, invaders shouldn't glow red anymore. I just learned today that Gambit has power level advantages enabled for PVP........ WHAT WHY Idk man, this mode stinks. I dread playing it. Any quest that requires it is always up there with the worst experiences I've had in this game. Bleh

  • First, only Gambit Prime has power level enabled for the PvP aspect. Second, Truth rockets my friend. They can be used defensively as well. I'm what you call a "Reverse Invader". I'll invade if I have to, but most of the time I will wait for them to invade and hunt them down with Truth rockets.
