Reticle Gun sights

I don't understand why bungie does not let us choose the recticle sights for our guns. I love the sights on all the black armory gear. Why can't I have that choice on all my weapons. And I am not talking random rolls i mean u can attach whatever sight u want to any gun. This is a preference thing. C'mon bungie give your players more options.

Yeah and the color of the reticle too! A few weeks ago someone replied to me that we could change it. When I came back to destiny I realized we can change the passive color. It’s not bad but it’s not enough.

  • Because real guns have the sights that they have and cannot be changed to whatever you want. Different scopes, different sights, different reticles. Designer made those choices, just like in IRL.

      • Since D1 Beta, we have been asking on the Forums for the ability to change the Color of the Reticle too. I'm slightly red- green colour blind (like 8% of the male population is) and the faint pink or pale green dots they put on Snipers and some scouts causes me to easily lose the target against the background - especially since many maps or areas reddish in color. Whisper Sniper is really bad for this.

        • Sights are very important in destiny. So the ability to pick them from the entir pool instead of the 3 we can would make finding god rolls much easier.

          • Because for some reason bungie thinks we would rather play stuff on repeat to get things we want rather then actually use said things.

          • Don’t worry you’ll probably be able to buy more ornaments at eververse that will do just that.

          • I think something like Black Armory/raid weapons, the sights are very much tied to the weapons thematically and it would be "wrong" for them to be put on anything else, or put another scope/sight on them. Beyond opinion, only SOME of the "basic" "world" guns have a scope rail, some have fixed permanent sights. Many of the "unique" weapons available from endgame activities also do not have a scope rail (scope/sights are not "removable" or "modular" on the weapon model). So I don't think it would be technically feasible to try to mount every sight to every gun because they wouldn't have a way to mount reasonably. I do think the gunsmith should allow us to swap out the random scopes that are available on each gun though.

          • In D1 sights would legit make and break guns for me red dot oas was a thing of beauty and that alone on a scout like the saterine rapier?
the Saturday night -blam!- I called it
made that gun had trash perks but that sight slayed. I also miss d1 counterbalance that LEGIT made guns so much better. D2 autos feel like your stroking out without zen moment on console shoot peoples out line like it's pulp fiction. I also really miss having 2 perks options. Made getting good rolls so much easier as well as getting the perfect god rolls that dropped perks for PvP and pve so you had best of both works in one. So many things from d1 still missing. Where my glowhoo bungie

            • Agreed. I'm not convinced the barrel perks actually help. I just pick one because of the green bar's size compared to the red.
