Luna's Howl and Not Forgotten were top tier weapons , so top tier indeed the comunity asked for a nerf, so a nerf they got, and then another one and another one, so , today , there is no point in using those weapons at all, because there are other options that require less grind and have a similar or even better performance at the crucible, yes they were a bit overpowered, bacause the could 2 tap with the perk active, but i got an ideia, make them 180 rounds per minute again , and rework the perk to only aply the third extra damage bullet (131 damage) ONLY at the person who got shot two times in the head before the perk was active, thats my ideia and opinion , thanks for reading it, maybe i'll come and give more ideas, if you aprove say it , and if you dont think im right , say it and why , thanks again.

Comparing console and pc lunas howl and not forgotten are actually still good for console players there more used and feel good to use on a controller instead of re buffing them to what they were before because in my opinion there nerf was fair I rather not have them sun setted because the grind was real for these two weapons and they received many nerfs to make them balanced.

I went solo to earn mine and right when I got it.....it got nerfed.....😬. Took the wind right of the sails. I barely touched crucible afterwards...

I like the guns as 150s but mag howl needs to be changed back. The gun doesnt really have a place in pvp or pve.

11 RepliesThe AR meta was unprecidented. ARs had better flinch and ease of use, and 150 hand cannons had better peak shot value and in air accuracy. They were balanced, but no, Bungie had to make something meta to make an evolving game world.
-
No. The are top weapons that aren’t game-breaking. They are fine right where they are.
-
They’re perfectly fine the way they are,the power limit is the problem

Edited by High Noon at Jötunn Saloon: 7/31/2020 11:52:02 PMTheyre plenty worth using...but people stop using anything the second it falls out of the top meta spot. One of the reasons pvp is so toxic.

Make HC's meta again, nerf the auto noskills

4 RepliesHonestly the only thing pinnacle about Luna's Howl and Not Forgotten were that they were the only 180 Handcannons that didn't need 4 crits to kill somebody. And could whip a shotgun apes butt, and drop Most roaming supers in 4 crits....maybe 2 tap some fools if you could juggle properly...good times.... (But in today's meta where every meta gun drops you instantly or in .4 to .6 seconds, would this really be a problem now?? ) Since they changed Mag Howl and made them 150s the only thing that makes them unqiue damage wise is that they can 2 crit 1 body, but when the best 150s can already 3 tap and most people run damage perks on them anyway, what's the point? The perk now is just a safety measure so if you miss that third crit (which is unlikely for the most part because the gun has no recoil) you'll still get that 3 tap. The overall nerf to Handcannon range is what murdered these guns imo. Unless you roll hard into the upper levels of comp you will rarely see these guns in quickplay, unless your matchmaking RNG is straight arse. Don't get me wrong I LOVE the guns. The lore, the quest, the grind to legend (as aids as it was back when it first came out) and I never take it off my character. I probably use it more in pve over PvP since I don't play PvP as much anymore and the nerf to mag Howl definitely hit it the hardest in pve. That extra damage was amazing vs Majors and since it already does less damage by default being an energy weapon, the old Mag Howl is definitely missed. You can remedy it slightly by using a charged with light build though.

1 ReplyIt needs to get reverted, thats it. Old lunas had a ttk of .67. Right now the 600rpm auto rifles have a ttk of .7. I don’t understand bungie’s logic in balancing weapons. Why nerf a gun because of its ttk but then introduce another archetype with almost the same exact ttk?
-
I mean you are talking to the same community that loves the bullsh#t AR meta so good luck trying to get any usable feedback. ARs didn't need buffed, They were fine the way they were. I would rather go back to season 4 when graviton lance was busted then play against this meta. The ttk on them is now too low. Want to be rewarded for spraying bullets? Go play CoD ffs

5 RepliesEdited by sonicBOOM5431: 8/1/2020 9:05:17 PMThe lunas/no haters are perfect examples of how hypocritical this community is. When those weapons were on top, they had an insanely low TTKs that almost no other weapon was capable of, so everyone complained about it and got it nerfed. Now here we are in the same exact situation where autos rifles have an insanely low TTK (about the same TTK as pre nerf lunas/nf as well, maybe even slightly faster) that almost no other weapon is capable of, and everyone is saying its ok even though they clearly outshine everything else, just as lunas and nf did. Why is it wrong for one weapon and ok for the other? Its extremely hypocritical. And even better yet, they still don't want nf and lunas to be buffed back even though it wouldn't even be overpowered anymore in the current sandbox of extremely low TTKs. They would literally fit perfectly right now in their original state, they would actually be balanced with auto rifles. I genuinely don't understand people man.

I wish... Bungie pretty much gave us the middle finger with those nerfs. All the time it took to get those weapons and they pretty much took them back and reissued a totally different weapon, all because they killed some folks too many times. Bungie sucks at managing their own game.

2 RepliesWhat I felt like reading your post: 😐🤢🤮🤯 🤬 NO!
-
6 RepliesI’m grinding for the weapon right now - bit late but whatever - but I’m mainly doing it because I just want to have it. I realise that there are better weapons or easier alternatives. Makes no sense really, if I’m being honest. And the grind is really steep ...
-
3 RepliesThe Luna quest portion to get Not Forgotten is impossible to complete now. Thanks to the nerf squad. Dire Promise 3 taps, Luna takes 5 to kill. Oh well...
-
-
9 RepliesThey are going to be sunsetted soon so why do anything at this point.
-
NO, hence the reason why sunsetting is happening, they were way too strong.
-
It’s a wasted effort. The guns are being left behind at the end of this season.
-
4 RepliesConsidering Luna's Is the 5th most used energy in crucible. Uh no.
-
NF and Luna were cheese weapons (I have both) and they dominated on console for a long time. We don’t need them to go back there. It’s time for other weapons to shine. It’s not like they’re bad now even. They have a competitive TTK and lots of forgiveness. I’d much rather see 140s and Ace get some console love.
-
3 RepliesEdited by Abyss: 7/31/2020 2:05:34 PMwhy would they buff a weapon thats about to be capped off at 1060. They were overpowered for the majority of y2 making pvp unplayable unless you had it or a weapon that could out pace it, which at the time did not exist on console, frankly, it will be better when they fade into obscurity.
-
5 RepliesWhat do you mean? They are still amazing. They reward aim, they punish inaccuracy.
-
Just nerf autos and you will see more nf and lunas
-
1 ReplyNF an exotic with headshot Mag Howl that persists through kills would be a good weapon
