Veteran Dialogue: Account or Character based?
So I want to delete my characters to reset their appearances, My character decisions back in 2014 were atrocious. I know you can view you legacy on the character select screen, which makes me think its account based. However, on google I cant find a conclusive answer to my question, so people of the Bungie Forum, Do we have an concrete answer/evidence for or against?

Hey there, I know its a bit late and you may have found your answer, but I hope this may answer things for players with the same question. Deleting D1 guardians and making new ones will treat them as if they are new guardians. I wish I knew originally, I remade ALL of my characters from D1 because I essentially made the same exact character 3 times for each class. I wanted to go through and change them, and was sad to find out afterwards that they would be treated as new even though I still have the Legacy from D1

I remember back in vanilla D2 when I deleted my titan and started a new one. Lord Shaxx still called my character Saladin's Young Wolf. So i believe its account based.
