Solstice Armor Universal Ornaments
Bungie should definitely rework the solstice event so we work towards unlocking the the solstice armor as universal ornaments instead of actual armor pieces. Nobody wants to grind out entirely new armor sets this close to the next fall DLC. Leave our stats alone and let us look cool. Do something to make your playerbase happy for once. I promise you more people will grind for an universal ornament set than an actual armor set.

All I know is players begged for last years stuff to become ornaments or useful somehow constantly in the forums. It would not have been difficult as they managed with other sets. They were ignored. Content drop after content drop, update after update, ignored. I can’t help but feel a little bit of a phuk you to anyone who gives bungee the satisfaction of grinding this out again. And especially dropping silver for this. Again. And I didn’t even grind it out last time since they screw jobbed me the time before that.

If the glow solstice sets aren’t ornaments I won’t be participating in this year’s solstice event. I really don’t feel like wasting my time grinding an event that gives armor that’s only useable/ viable for a month

Ornaments are the only way I'm grinding for this. Two years in a row I grinded my ass off for the solstice armor only to have it become obsolete almost immediately. Fool me twice shame on me. Agree 100% this needs to be ornaments.

I say this because the new like player that doesn't have the gear will do this and this company knows that. A lot of things that take place nowadays are not for any of you that have been around for a while and need to start thinking always about the new light player because that is what has this companies attention.

But it’s Solstice... the whole point is to perform maximum grind for an ultimately disappointing reward. At least that’s what I assumed based on Bungie’s handling of the event in the past.

Wait bro, they about to require us to play Trials against cheaters to unlock legendary armors. It'd be nice if people actually blacklisted trials until Bungie finally did their -blam!-ing job but you'll always find approval junkies ready to grind their ass off to flex titles that don't mean jack shit in a game where scrubs can pay others to carry/recov. People have ego and devs know too well how to low-effortly prey on it. As for Solstice armor we should boycott as well but we won't even though they -blam!- us twice and we're probably on our way to a third time.

I would like the idea where players can change the style of glow (not just colors) like how we can choose the multiperks on a weapon/ gear. It'll give players more variety to display their glow.

It will. The objectives that make the pieces masterworked for the last two years has been changed. This year, the masterwork feature is removed and so you complete the final objective on each piece to gain an ornament of it. The only one I can fully remember is 7 trials wins for the boots. Theres also something to do with a two man pit completion or solo completion similar to last years two man fireteam or less completion for shattered throne. I think there's also one for alter of sorrows and another for some sort of nightfall score threshold I don't know the fifth objective though you can search up the objectives on google

Last years solstice armor we got was one big troll job by Bungie... than the 2.0 48 stat rolls was the next troll, and players laughed at me when i said the whole event and grind would be for nothing. MW all of it was also a big joke and for nothing weeks after you got it. I did one character but a lot were grinding their ass off on all 3! Not falling for it this year because it will be a wast of time...

Friend told me legs were 7 trials wins, along with 7 trials wins for the title any non pvp players who cried over the title are going to be even more upset at having to do it again.

Solstace armour has been a waste of time every time. Last year armour 2.0 launched and our solstace set rolled with a mighty 48 stats. The year before it was the same story tho I can't quite remember why, maybe the addition of mods to armour or something. So yeah expect it to be bullshit this time too.

We could only hope. And if I were to get glows for the armor and then transmog the armor would I still be able to put the glows on? I mean, it'd be like putting an ornament onto an ornament.
