Can you please remove the glimmer cost to reset the artifact?

With beyond light getting delayed, we have 3 more months in this season. When you use the same thing over and over again it gets boring, so I see what builds people have come up with and I try them out. Doing this is a really good way to keep game fresh. I don't think I had as much as I did last few days experimenting with all of these builds. The artifact reset cost really ruins all of that fun to me. I am at 50K for my next reset and thats like half of my glimmer. It feels like I am being punished the more I want to experiment. Why does it cost glimmer to reset the artifact? and more importantly, why does the cost to rest it keep increasing the more you do it? Having the same sandbox until November means people will get bored fast and experimenting with builds they can take into Beyond light will keep them playing after the Arrival content is stretched thin. At the very least if you want to be stingy on something like this, it should work in the opposite way to what it is now. Every time I reset it, it will cost less glimmer to reset it not more. I should feel encouraged to experiment with artifact not be punished and at the very least doing something like that will help with. I do not think this is a big of an ask to make this change before the end of August at the very least. Can you really not remove the glimmer cost of the artifact with a patch when you can now turn off ghost perks? Now it might be that you have this planned for Beyond light, but if there is one thing that needs to be pushed out early, it is this one. Please if you have this change planned for Beyond light, release this change early. It is not a huge one. It is a very small change that will make a big difference.

  • Artifact perks should just be a skill tree you select perks from. Not mods.

    • If you play the game enough to get bored with your artifact build, you play enough to have the glimmer to reset it. Stop asking for handouts

      • I don't really understand the purpose of making us select and reset on the artifact. It's really just an arbitrary waste of glimmer, which really isn't exactly a rare resource these days. I feel like it should just be like a skill tree that you level over time and once you've unlocked a perk for the season it's done.

        • I feel like they should instead make it so you have to upgrade the artifact (mods wise) seperately on all 3 characters, BUT you have the mods unlocked for the whole season. So you can collect all 20-some-whatever mods from the artifact and never reset. I really don't understand why they limited the number you can have. Like oh no, I have all the mods in the final column unlocked that I cant even equip at the same time anyway, I'm far too powerful! How will they ever balance raids or Trials around me having options in what mods I use?!?!?! Nooooo!!!!!

        • Honestly why does it even cost anything. Half the unlocks are useless

          • If artifacts are still basically like they are now next year then I'd at least like to see it changed so that the unlocked slots doesn't cap at 12 i.e. if someone plays enough to hit Season Rank 100 then use that system to keep unlocking additional slots every 15 ranks or so. Simple incentive to keep someone playing and experimenting with build options once they're past the season pass. Having to reset and reselect everything up to 12 tbh just irritates me, it feels like busy work when I could be playing.

          • All artifact mods should be unlockable permanently. They already have high energy and single piece restrictions (which are stupid).

            • They need to just get rid of the 12 items to choose, everything should just eventually be unlocked.

I mean, you can just ask them to unlock all the mods

                • Eh , I just buy the entire first column, no glimmer perks and then whatever I want for the last two and I don’t see why I would change

                • I dont think it should cost less but the cap should be 25k to 30k to roll.
