Why was my name censored in-game??
Hi
Guess I have to throw this here, as no other place.
So my name on pretty much everything online is HellVonRaizer (my Steam tag btw) or hellvonraizer..
Now, as of today, it is in Destiny 2 only *************
Why is this? I had no information or contact from any1, not in-game, no announcement here in the games' account, nothing... I understand if my name was actually offensive (which it is not lol)... I have seen many very offensive names in D2 in general, so I just don't understand.
I have had the tag since the game migrated to Steam, so before the normal question, I am using the Steam version of the game on PC (I have checked also that I am NOT participating in beta versions of Steam).

Hey there! Steam has pushed an update today. Make sure to install it and log on to Destiny and see if your name is back to normal.

Having the same issue... And my username is Skursky....? I see nothing offensive with that? And I did some testing. Only Skur makes it censored, which isn't even a word.

This is a problem on steam ends that affect people with out beta client (me) and people who are useing beta client and as far i know bungie devs are aware of this problem. Steam just picks out the eazy way out since they originaly sayd that beaver error codes werent a problem on theyr end but now we know it a problem on they end so hey who knows whats gowing on at this point [b]Fix:[/b] Slightly change your steam name and this shoud get your destiny name uncensured as well. My user on steam was NightNeko and that got censured but now is Night-Neko and this isnt censured.

9 RepliesAllo there, This seems to be an issue with the Steam client as destiny pulls your user name directly from steams API and as such if they've added new censored names or tools to the Steam client then it's upto them to fix it. You'll need to speak with Steam support.
