I have noticed an annoying problem where my Sparrow is stuck in first gear. It is a real problem as Adds rip you up when going through their areas. Either it is a glitch or my clutch is slipping. A Youtube vid suggests swapping the L1 and L2 buttons on the controller to R1 and R2, but I don't fancy that arrangement. I understand this was common on D1 so is it a glitch? funny that it has only just started to take effect.

There's a few possibilities to why this is happening. First, are you using trigger stops on your controller? If so, you are limiting the travel of the trigger and the sparrow thruster needs to the trigger to be fully depressed to go full speed. If you are not using trigger stops, your controller may be worn out. I wore out my original PS4 controllers (launch system) playing Destiny 1. I noticed, like you are now, that my sparrows did not go full speed. It turned out that the triggers were not fully registering being pulled so it affected the speed of the sparrow. Swapping your buttons is a great way to test and then figure out what the culprit may be.

Hi there. The Sparrow boost requires a full trigger pull to function properly. If you're using a controller with trigger stops or your triggers are broken in some way, this will interfere with the Sparrow's speed.
