D1 raids coming back.
If you guys are going to bring d1 raids back please do not add an overabundance of unnecessary mechanics on top of the normal ones that have been in the game for years. And honestly for things like crota and vog this is just my opinion but please take out the token system for that and leave it how it was with the staying dead mechanics for hard mode and normal reset for normal.
Because being the last person standing and clutching a hard raid encounter back in the day was one of the most enjoyable pve moments. And if there is a timer on this due to the token system I feel like it will end up diminishing the same experiences we had in D1

[spoiler]I honestly miss the clutch factor in Destiny 1 raids. It was so fun having your entire team die in a raid just to have like 1-2 people selfres and manage to clutch the raid encounter. That was the destiny raid experience right there in my opinion.[/spoiler]

In your second paragraph you said something about clutching a hard raid encounter. In the first you talked about VoG and CE. Something don't add up here, chief.

I actually did vog last month for fun and it was two people’s first run and I clutched during the confluxes and pulled everyone to oracles.

I love that they are coming back but I don’t champions. They weren’t around then and they shouldn’t be around in the new ones. Champions are cool but only when I don’t have to worry about entire raid mechanics. GoS made it work since they were the mechanic at that encounter. But I would hate to be in the middle of jumping during Oryx and getting blasted by now Unstoppable Ogres.

1 ReplyI agree with this, If they are going to be bringing back the old raids they should have them have the same mechanics, In fact imo they should take out the revive token mechanic because its -blam!-ing aids. I mean raids would be so much more enjoyable if the token system did not exist.

And if there is a timer on this due to the token system I feel like it will end up diminishing the same experiences we had in D1[/quote] They're adding Champions to the raids, that right there is already dumb to do Like for real, i do not want to go into a remade raid just to have to not only focus on say trying to kill the Templar but also have to take down a -blam!-ing Overload champion or unstoppable champion while other enemies are also around shooting including the Templar itself as well Bungie having added Champions into the game was the worse design decision ever (specially while also limiting what weapon are allowed to have what champion mods on them) and they think they did good when they didn't.

They already said they're adding the garbage champions to them. So the old raids are going to be ruined already. I wouldn't get my hopes up.

There is no need to change anything or add stupid things like champions in there. From what I know about the WoW guy, is that anytime he gets an idea with content that works, you know, that isn't broken? When he touches it he ruins it. Leave VoG as is or you guys will ruin the experience that it gave many players threw you years that enjoyed that raid.

Agreed,Leave the D1 raids the way there are in D1 and DO NOT ADD CHAMPIONS to them personally so sick of champions but add the Age of triumph versions of the armour.

I remember doing VoG in D1... only did it one time and got Fatebringer, good times. There’s no way they’re not gonna screw it up with champions or some other ridiculous mechanic.

VoG isn't even hard, adding more unnecessary stuff brings in more unnecessary challenge. I'm okay with anything that they add to it. I just want VoG hard mode gear instead of the classic sets.
