Attunement of Fission (Nova Warp) worst subclass and super in both pvp and pve

It's no secret that when it was first released it was Broken and after a series of nerfs and no buffs the super and subclass is practically useless. Uncharged blasts do nothing and no other roaming super has a delay before ever attacking. Nor do they have slowed movement penalties for attacking. hhsn was broken and yet it was nerf to hell as the slow charge up time is what kills it, as does the self damage. One of my own bolt hits me and kills me but all hit my target just for them to survive. Makes no sense! atomic breach melee effects are delayed and no where in the description of its perk does it say its delayed. As it shouldn't be. You took away the ability return on super activation as well as when it ends. The super sucks in pve as well and in no means is it for competitive usage. The only thing this subclass has going for it is blink the healing and returned ability energy.

    • Bruh I’ve made posts about this for months. I even tried to lay out details to back up my claims. Dmg numbers, attack ranges/ radius, frame data, plain old logic. None of it matters. There’s bias in the community and everyone is so toxic that instead of just admitting to it, they wanna have a “class war”. I advocated for changes that would be in line with the goals of the nerfs they put out while still leaving the class as a viable option but I got hit with the “warlock player is mad”. Now dawnblade top tree is likely on the chopping block. I’m gonna bump this and pray but unless every warlock main or everyone capable of being a reasonable human being comes together on this, it’s never gonna change. Get your friends to bump this if you can bro. We need all the help we can get.

      • Warp more, charge less. You only need a full charge if going up against another super. Warp uses very little energy now. So its very effective in PvP. In PvE it's limited to add clears, nothing more.

          It should really leave damage over time void hole similar to top tree striker and bottom tree hammers Maybe disorient enemies trapped in those holes

        • I think the neutral game is the main issue. The super isn’t THAT bad in PvP (still could use a small buff). The neutral game is awful, and needs an overhaul. In PvE the super needs a serious damage buff (Along with Spectral)

          I can't be the only one who still has loads of fun with it. If it was easy, everyone would use it, like back when it was busted. For pvp, top tier mobility and with the right positioning it can easily outperform other supers. For Pve, it could use a buff I guess, but on Warlock you do have far better options for dps and ad clearing. In pvp, it's not a super that you just give all the power. It was once like that, and we do not want to go back. They [i]actually[/i] balanced it, and I'm pretty satisfied with it.

          • Void in general for Warlocks is not good. I played a Voidlock for most of my Destiny Career and then they neutered Void class Warlocks. Switched to Chaos reach and the only time I use void on Warlock now is for bounties requiring Void ability kills.

              • Voidwalker in general is the most underwhelming subclass in the game. The grenades all suck (with overcharged Vortex being the only exception), the neutral game on 2/3 tree are mediocre or almost non-existent, and 2/3 of the supers are trash while the only decent on is often inconsistent.

              • I'd probably say either burning maul, top tree striker or bottom tree tether are worse for pvp. Burning mauls nerf made it so inconsistent and it's a melee super with no lunge on the light attack that barely kills players with multiple inputs due to the lag and because it's a multi hit, it also burns way too much energy. The slam is the super and that can be avoided just by jumping. You also come to a dead stop when you do it. The neutral game is also not quite useful unless you stack at least 2 which is kind of hard. Top tree striker has a really good neutral and a powerful super...but the super burns out SO fast that it's just not worth using. The slam also has such a crappy horizontal and vertical radius that you basically have to kiss them just to kill them. When it works it works, but it's just not efficient. I don't really think I have to explain bottom tree tether. Nova warp is just better top tree fist of havoc (in terms of boom) for pvp, but that boom comes at such a high cost that it's sometimes not even worth charging. Its radius is huge, but losing all access to mobility and being slowed is quite stupid. You HAVE to gap close, which costs a ton of energy (or jump blink) and by the time you get there they just...disperse. And you can't use it in pve because its ass. Handheld is still very potent but something on it should be reverted like the hold time (the self damage is unlikely to get reverted). The melee is also supposed to have the delay on explosion because it pushes them away...but it should explode a little sooner. As a whole it has potential to be good but it's just stuck on its nerfs that hurt it so bad. The super honestly just needs a more useful light attack and the heavy attack should lose that slow effect. Otherwise...its basically just a roaming burning maul slam.

                • Its pretty clear that when bungie made this tree they had pvp in mind And instead of balancing things like they should, they just yeeted it. Its one of the few supers that i just dont run from anymore because even with them blinking i can take them out with primary 90% of the time.

                  • IM A TITAN MAIN AND I FRICKING AGREE WITH THIS! Like I think warlocks should get better exotics and be buffed in other ways. I actually used to enjoy playing them quite a lot. I stoped playing warlocks on the regular when they nerf my favorite exotic. Skull of the Dire Ahamkara. I loved chucking nova bombs so god damn much and I wish they would buff it back.

                      Agreed, the super is f*cking pathetic and will get you killed more often then just playing with your guns. If I’m going for a high kill game I just sit on the super, and use the abilities. It needs a reduced charge time, better movement while holding a charge and less delay on the explosion. Cause as of right now, arc staff crutch has greater range and can get off FOUR, dam near 5 light attacks in the same time nova warp can get off 2, and arc staff can one shot most supers with the combo( which ain’t that hard to time contrary to Hunter belief due to its dumb range).

                    • It's only the worse until November, then -blam!- will be the worst. It's no secret that the Bugie CEO has a hard on for hunters and he will NEVER have anything more powerful or even remotely competitive against them in pvp. Why do you think every time a hunter whines about something, they get their way but the other 2 classes get the "you're lucky to even be in the game" treatment. So long as the CEO stays in love with hunters, and they remain the most played class in the game 5 to 1, hunters will never not be meta.

                          I’m glad to finally see a Warlock post gain some traction, it was about time. It always seems to be “nerf this nerf that” but every time it leads to a Nova Warp type outcome.

                        • Fission needs: - revert drain from charging blast nerf. - Reduce self-damage from HHSN by 50% - Increase the time HHSN can remain ready from 2 seconds to 3.5 seconds. Chaos needs: - Priority tracking when aimed at an Ultra or Major - increased tracking on overcharged scatter grenade. - Boost to damage of huge scattered axion bolts that come from super detonation. Hunger Needs: - Increased Nova Bomb vortex duration by 50%, and increase total damage by keeping tick rate and damage the same. - Kills while devour is active generate rift and/or melee energy. Voidwalker overall needs: - fix scatter grenade bouncing issue.

                            I’ve said previously that Attunement of Fission is the epitome of Bungie’s incompetence. It was released BUSTED, then nerfed into THE GROUND, buffed to mediocrity, then nerfed as part of a blanket nerf to super damage resistance which clearly wasn’t accounted for on an individual basis, then received its most recent simultaneous buff/nerf that made it WORSE THAN EVER BEFORE. And throughout this time, it has not once received a PvE-specific buff. Bungie has no clue how to balance a game.

                              They reduced the range of hand helds so its used more at close range but then made it so players take damage from it at close range, its basically a double edge sword. The increased charge time and reduction in holding that charge for handhelds also nerfed the exotic that came with it, the exotic only activates once the warlock has the full charge active however bungie made it so the charge only last 1-2 seconds which means the exotic is only viable for those small seconds. Since players can and will die from handhelds now, the exotic is completely useless for this path. There was no common sense used when this nerf was made. the super never really needed a nerf other than its armor and everyone is blind to the fact that nova warp was impossible to kill because all roaming supers had an insane amount of armor at the time. After the armor nerf to all classes, nova warp got it the worst. The increased time in charging the attack, the slower movement in charging the attack, the reduction in damage and range, it was literally overkill. These are facts, nova warp is even worse than night stalker, that says a lot.
