Paid Carries are beyond evil
Paid Carries destroy the whole spectrum of learning experience socialising and gamers unity
There ars so many people that do not have 9 hours to spend in a raid
There are also so many people that love raiding and their ultimate goal is to smash said raid as fast as humanly possible
The Sherpa systems is a fantastic tribute to the game and if you are doing a sharp in game then you should be getting a significantly huge reward for helping people not like what it is at current
A hugely significant reward in game would make so much good within the community
It would make more people want to sherpa
It would bring more gamers together
It would inspire team work/voice chat/friendship

9 RepliesD1 raids were just overall better. They weren't so focused on needless mechanics which made them actually fun to play. The rewards were better too, those elemental primary weapon's were so good.
-
1 Reply9 hours for a raid... 9 hours... Ok for real. Maximum amount of time I did was 4 on leviathan because we were all extremely drunk and had a laugh.
-
This post is like someone complaining that a volunteer service they do isn't paying them.
-
I always felt like Bungie should make a Raid difficultly rooted in learning the mechanics. This wouldn’t be released until the normal Raid was cleared. Enemies are scaled back, maybe provide matchmaking and treat it almost like tutorial. Not sure if Raid gear should be awarded in this mode, if it is, it should not be powerful gear and perhaps cap the power level of that gear until a normal clear is achieved. An Emblem should be awarded for clearing this to prove you’ve done it and have some understanding of the mechanics. This could be offered through guided games and sherpas could have their efforts awarded as well.

1 ReplySignificant rewards for sherpas are Wanted!! Fixed it for ya ;)
-
Make raids less mechanic heavy and give raids the best or some of the best rewards in the game. Solved it for you
-
Helping should be enough reward. Isn't that what a community is about? You just want compensation of some kind but hate carries? Same thing man.
-
I also believe that no voice chat in D1 from launch also impacted the game. The main thing is time!. Not everyone wants to sit for 3-4 hours when someone can't stay alive or follow instructions.

Edited by rios5900: 7/22/2020 4:19:28 AMThe issue with adding rewards for sherpas, is that it will just end up with skilled people making teams of 3-5 who can do the raid without a 6th, and just say stand in a corner while they 5 man it and get extra loot, while that player still ends up having no clue what they are doing. I agree it’s fairly important to have an incentive to help newer players, and something like the guided games emblem was a fairly good system if they stuck with it, but the reward would need to not incentivize players to not actually teach.

Even Donald -blam!- Trump approves this message
-
Probably wouldnt change any of that.
-
Hear hear, this gets my full endorsement 👍
-
Make guided game give something extra. But find a way to remove the loop hole of someone getting extra stuff because the “newbies” who looked for a group are experts
-
I have had a few sherpas help me and I agree it would be great if they got an extra reward for their time and patience. It may entice more to do so as well which only helps the community as a whole.
-
7 RepliesWith all due respect sir. How the -blam!- is a normal casual player able to obtain the stuff in this game. Your out of touch with reality. I have no time or the patience to grind the bullshit in this game. Carries are the only way I have to get the meta. If that is a problem then I guess that is the way it is. This game is not for a casual solo playera and if you think Bungo is not getting kick backs from this. Well that’s on you.
-
So you want a cookie for helping people? You're supposed to help people, to help them. Not because of a -blam!-ing reward 💀 yikes
-
Edited by name: 7/22/2020 8:26:34 AMbut wouldnt also these people doing paid carries get those rewards on top of the money? so you basically requesting ingame rewards for paid carries... the game cant identify a paid carry this wasnt thought through
-
But if sherpaing was rewarding what would the precious Streamers do to get paid follows into their strike teams?
-
I brought a 1030 and a 1050 through prophecy I didn’t care about the experience or any of that I just simply enjoy helping people my clan has brought several people including myself through first time raids just be a decent human and remember you were once the new person in an activity and be humble. My lfg post are vastly different than others I don’t have requirements just need a body. 🤷🏽♂️😂
-
3 RepliesSherpas are important, and good sherpas should get something special, Maybe sherpas armour with high stats or Sherpa sparrow, ghost, etc... However, there should be a rating for sherpas. Some sherpas are good but others are not, some are even rude and don’t have a clue on how to explain. So we should be able to rate the sherpas, and their rewards should be accordingly.
-
3 RepliesWhat if they were rewarded with money? Like set up a website where sherpas help new raiders and in exchange the new raiders give a couple bucks to the Sherpa for their time? I really think I’m on to something here.
-
I agree that more experienced players that sherpa more novice players should get some additional rewards since playing with less skilled players is basically playing at a handicap and there are already too many that only will play with those that know the whole thing from front to back, and are quick to verbally abuse anyone that accidentally causes a team wipe.
-
3 RepliesI agree, but not "huge massive" level. Something like a tier system. 1-5 successful sherpas gets emblem. 6-10 shader. 11-15 ghost. Etc. X-Y begins dropping sherpa armor on final encounter on top of normal rewards. I gave up on D2 raids long ago. I think I have 1, maybe 2 clears just for Acrius. After that my clan went to shit and there are now 2 of us. Full time, conflicting schedules, and zero positive lfg experiences just add up. Oh well, at least I can get back into it with VoG, since unless it's changed a ton, I already "kwtd."
-
4 Repliesidk maybe just dont be bad and dont be a -blam!- and watch a video on how to do the raid. BOOM problem solved.
-
This should have been guided games.... But guess what? Bungled as usual.
-
Then people would do paid carries to get the Sherpa loot lol
